JNTU Kakinada B.Tech Eligibility Criteria 2020

JNTU Kakinada eligibility criteria for B.Tech courses can be checked below –

Domicile Rules: Permanent residents of Andhra Pradesh are allowed to seek admission in B.Tech courses offered by JNTU Kakinada. The candidates must have studied Class 10 and Class 12 from a recognized school in Andhra Pradesh.

Age Limit: Candidates aspiring to get B.Tech admission in JNTU Kakinada must be 17 years old (as on December 31 of the admission year). There is no upper age limit for taking up B.Tech admission in JNTU Kakinada.

Academic Requirements: Candidates aspiring to secure admission in JNTU Kakinada must have passed Class 12 in Science stream (M.P.C) with a minimum of 50% of marks.

Entrance Test: JNTU B.Tech aspirants must clear the AP EAMCET entrance exam with a good rank and score to get admission in B.Tech course.

JNTU Kakinada B.Tech Application Form 2020

The official website of JNTU Kakinada will not conduct a separate online application process for its B.Tech courses. Students aspiring to secure admission in JNTU Kakinada must register for the AP EAMCET exam. After the results of AP EAMCET are out, the candidates must register for the online counselling process conducted by Andhra Pradesh State Council for Higher Education (APSCHE).

Even though JNTU Kakinada is an affiliating university for B.Tech colleges in eight districts of Andhra Pradesh, it is also one of the participating institutes of the centralized counselling process. Therefore, students must follow the rules specified by APSCHE to register for B.Tech courses offered by JNTU Kakinada. JNTU Kakinada B.Tech Admission Procedure 2020

JNTU Kakinada B.Tech admissions are strictly based on the merit. The combined score of candidates in AP EAMCET 2020 exam and Intermediate (MPC) score shall be taken into consideration for preparing the merit list and rank list. JNTU Kakinada has no role in preparing the rank list, as APSCHE is responsible for rank allotment and merit list preparation. While preparing the merit list, 80% weightage will be given to AP EAMCET score and 20% for Intermediate MPC subjects.

Minimum Qualifying Marks in Entrance Test: Candidates of General category must score at least 25% of marks in AP EAMCET to be eligible for admission process. On the other hand, there is no minimum qualifying mark for candidates of reserved categories.

JNTU Kakinada B.Tech Counselling Process 2020

JNTU Kakinada does not conduct the counselling process for B.Tech admissions. JNTU Kakinada is one of the participating institutes of common admission process conducted by APSCHE. After qualifying AP EAMCET exam, candidates must visit the official website of AP EAMCET counselling to register for the counselling process. The candidates must pay Rs. 1,200 as counselling fee. Candidates must have a good rank in AP EAMCET (at least 1 – 20000) to secure admission in JNTU Kakinada. Candidates must choose JNTU Kakinada as one of the options while exercising online web choices. Candidates with top AP EAMCET ranks may have chances to get admission in JNTU Kakinada, as B.Tech seats in the varsity have greater competition among students.

If the candidates secure admission in B.Tech course of JNTU Kakinada, they must download the seat allotment letter from AP EAMCET Counselling website and report to the college with seat acceptance fee within the specified date.

JNTU Kakinada B.Tech Fee Structure

For all the B.Tech specialisations offered by JNTU Kakinada, the annual fee structure is Rs. 10,000. JNTU Kakinada is planning to hike the B.Tech fees from the upcoming academic session (2020), and a proposal for the same has been submitted to the state government.
