The Kerala Engineering Architecture and Medical (KEAM) entrance exam is conducted for a total of 960 marks (480 marks for each paper). However, to prepare the KEAM rank list, 50% weightage is given to 10+2 scores and the remaining 50% weightage is given to the entrance exam marks. Based on this, the total marks are computed as 600. Nevertheless, for admission to B. Tech programs purely on the basis of KEAM, candidates will be allotted marks out of 960. The rankings will also be given as per the scores obtained.

KEAM 2023 Rank List

CEE Kerala will publish the KEAM rank list 2023 on July 20, 2023, for Engineering, Agriculture, BPhard, Ayurveda, Medical and Allied courses. The exam conducting authority prepares the KEAM 2023 rank list based on the following factors:
  • The total number of marks scored by the students in the KEAM 2023 exam
  • Candidates having a score of less than 10 will be excluded from the KEAM rank list 2023 (save for the SC/ST categories).
  • Average exam and class 12 grades obtained in a 50:50 ratio.
  • If a candidate did not study Chemistry in grade 12, his or her Computer Science grades will be computed. If neither of these disciplines has been studied, Biotechnology will be considered. If none of these three disciplines were studied, Biology will be considered

Tie Breaking Policy for KEAM Rank List 2023

If there are ties in the KEAM 2023 rank list, the tie will be handled according to the guidelines outlined below:

  • In the event of a tie in the total marks computed for the preparation of the Engineering rank, then:
  • Candidates who scored higher in Mathematics in the Entrance Examination will be ranked higher.
  • If a tie still remains, the applicant with the better marks in Physics of the Physics & Chemistry Paper in the Entrance Examination shall be ranked higher.
  • If there is still a tie, the applicant with the better standardized marks in Mathematics in the qualifying examination's final year will be put higher in the ranking.
  • If the tie remains, the applicant with the higher standardized marks in Physics in the last year of the qualifying test will be ranked higher.
    If there is still a tie, the candidate's age will be considered, and the older will be ranked higher in the ranking
