KEAM 2026 seat allotment is done through a Centralised Allotment Process (CAP) based on the ranks obtained by candidates in the entrance test. Step 1: Register for Counselling
Candidates will have to sign up for the counseling procedure in order to participate in the KEAM 2026 seat allotment process. Candidates must list their preferred colleges and courses in the order of their selections when enrolling. Once the options have been selected, they can be changed 'n' times throughout the allotted time.
Step 2: Fee Remittance
Candidates who receive seats must pay the college tuition within the allowed window of time. Candidates who don't pay their fees on time forfeit their allocation as well as all of the available alternatives in the stream. Candidates would have the option of paying the fee online or at specific SBI branches that have been designated by the government as CEE account locations. Additionally, candidates must download and print the fee receipt that the bank or an online payment website will send. When the documents are verified, the receipt will be necessary.
Step 3: Candidate Admission
Candidates who have been given seats and have paid the required fee must appear at the designated college to confirm their admission. Candidates who fail to appear at the college will forfeit their allocation as well as their current alternatives. It must be understood that once alternatives are lost, they are lost forever.
Step 4: Option of participating in additional rounds of counselling and seat allotment
Candidates who have been assigned a seat but still wish to take part in the subsequent rounds of allocation must log in and confirm their selections by using the "Confirm" link. Additionally, applicants will have the ability to eliminate undesirable alternatives or alter the importance of already-existing options. This, however, is only possible following the online selection confirmation.
Step 5: Mop up rounds or spot allotments
After the general allotment rounds, the spot allotment or mop-up round will be held if there are still open seats. Candidates who appear on the rank list will be permitted to participate in this round. However, candidates who were admitted to a course at a government institution on the basis of merit would not be permitted to take part in the KEAM 2026 spot allocation for that course.
Candidates who are accepted to Government merit seats at a Government Controlled Self Financing institution, however, will be permitted to take part in a spot round for any programme at a Government institution.

Along with the KEAM 2026 seat allotment result, the candidates must download the KEAM allotment memo, which is an important document for reporting. The allotment memo consists of details such as personal details of candidates, the name of the allotted college, the allotted course, and fee details. The candidates will have to pay the fee amount as per the amount specified on the allotment memo.
CEE Kerala will confirm the fee structure of B.Tech courses. Candidates who will secure seats in KEAM 2026 counselling will have to pay the course fee as per the fee displayed on the seat allotment memo. The expected fee structure is as follows -

Candidates accepting the seat allotment will have to pay a token fee of Rs. 10,000 (Rs. 1,000 for Government Colleges). The token fee can be paid through the Head Post Office or online by using a credit card/ debit card/ internet banking facility. The token fee is refundable after the conclusion of the admission process.
Candidates qualifying for the KEAM exam will be eligible to participate in the counselling process. KEAM 2026 category reservation list will be published on the official website of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE). Candidates who will be assigned seats through KEAM counselling and seat allotment 2026 have to pay the stipulated fees and go to the assigned college for document verification for the admission process. KEAM seat allotment will be based on the KEAM rank list, the alternatives entered by candidates, and the availability of seats.

Once the seat allotment procedure is completed and seats will be assigned to candidates, they must report to their assigned college. Candidates who are assigned seats must come to the institutions with the required documentation to confirm their admission. Candidates must also pay the University's course costs when they apply for admission.

In order to qualify for admissions through KEAM 2024, candidates who fall under the General Category must attain a minimum of 50% marks in total. On the other hand, candidates who belong to the reserved category, such as SC/ST, must secure a minimum of 40% marks in aggregate as the cutoff.
