Tips to Prepare for Quantitative Aptitude Section of MAH MBA CET 2022

Given below are a few preparation tips for the Quantitative Aptitude Section of MAH MBA CET that can help in acing the exam in one go:

Tip 1: Build a Strong Foundation

Solving the questions of quant becomes a cakewalk if the basics are clear. Remember that the structures are stable only when the foundation is solid. Instead of skimming through various topics of mathematics, try to understand and dig deep so that you comprehend the questions completely before solving them.

Tip 2: Stay Consistent

Studying regularly is one major tip that enhances the preparation of a candidate. Instead of taking days off from the practice, try taking regular short and long breaks during the day. Being consistent helps in retaining memory and building a command over quantitative aptitude.

Tip 3: Practice, Practice & Practice

Quantitative Aptitude is one such section that demands a lot of practice. The more a candidate practices, the better are the results. Instead of mugging up, try solving as many questions as possible.

Tip 4: Learn the Formulas

Do not take learning formulas casually by keeping them for the last few days. Solve a lot of sample problems as this helps in learning the formulas. Learn them thoroughly and do not leave any topic uncovered. The questions would not make sense unless all the formulas are at your fingertips.

Tip 5: Work on Speed & Accuracy

Speed and accuracy are two factors that determine the overall performance and score of an individual. The more correct questions you solve in less time, the more time would be left for solving the remaining question paper. The speed and accuracy can be enhanced by solving sample papers and mock tests from time to time.

Tip 6: Learn Shortcuts

Since MAH MBA CET needs to be wound up in a limited time frame so it is crucial to learn shortcuts and buy as much time as possible for solving difficult problems. Learn the shortcuts and their exceptions. Apply them by solving as many sample questions as possible.

Tip 7: Work on your Weakness

Regularly solving mock tests and sample problems help in analysing your strengths and weaknesses. Try to identify your weak areas and devote more time to them. Try turning your weaknesses into your strengths. Also, do not neglect the strong areas completely. Keep practising questions from them as well so that you stay on top of your game.

Tip 8: Keep time for Revision

Revision is one such vital element in MAH MBA CET preparation that upgrades your performance. The last few weeks or days should be kept for revising important topics only. It decreases the chances of forgetting formulas and concepts on exam day.

Sectionwise Preparation Tips for MAH MBA CET 2022 Quantitative Aptitude

The MAH MBA CET Quantitative Aptitude section includes questions on:

Quantitative Ability

  • It is imperative for the candidates to prepare one topic each week.

Data Interpretation

  • These are direct questions based on the data given.

  • It is important to be good at calculations like addition/ subtraction, finding a % of b, expressing fraction a/b in the terms of percentages, etc.

  • Acing this section requires regular practice of calculations and solving one set on DI on an alternate day.

Data Sufficiency and Data Comparison

Candidates who are well-versed with Quantitative Ability concepts can handle these questions as these are based on Quant. However, the format of the questions is different.

  • Do not ignore basic concepts that ease calculation and hence save time. Some of the most important of these concepts which you should not miss are:

  2. Tables till 25

  3. Cubes till 20

  4. Squares till 35

  5. Cube and Square Root

  6. Perfect Number

  7. Percentage conversion ratios

  8. Unitary method
