MAH MBA CET is a state-level entrance exam conducted for admission to the postgraduate management courses offered by MBA colleges of Maharashtra. The exam is conducted in online mode. MAH MBA CET is divided into four sections namely Logical Reasoning, Abstract Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, Verbal Ability / Reading Comprehension. Weightage of Verbal Ability Section in MAH MBA CET 2022 Exam Pattern

The Verbal Ability section covers 25% of the total number of questions available in the MAH MBA CET exam. The section comprises 50 questions with each question carrying one mark.   • Around 14- 15 questions from this section are from the Reading Comprehensions while the rest of the questions are from English grammar, vocabulary, sentence completion, para jumbles, synonyms, antonyms, and other topics. Candidates are advised to prepare their own strategy to handle each type of question.

  • Candidates should read newspapers and articles daily. This will help them improve their reading speed and communication skills. 

  • Candidates are advised to practise a maximum number of RC passages. Besides this, they are advised to solve a variety of Reading Comprehension passages.

  • Candidates can follow the rule of elimination while answering the questions from the spot the error, fill in the blanks, cloze test and other topics. 

  • Candidates should choose the questions wisely. Those who are good at attempting reading passages should answer the reading passages first and those who are comfortable with answering para jumbles questions should answer the para jumbles questions first. 

  • Candidates should note that they will have to complete the exam within 150 minutes hence they should take around 30-35 minutes to complete the Verbal Ability section. This will help them to allocate the rest of the time to the Quantitative Ability and Reasoning sections.

Vocabulary building is easiest when individuals encounter words in context.
