One of the most common mistakes that candidates make is not reading the question paper carefully. In the process, they often miss out on an important instruction or misinterpret the questions and end up giving wrong answers that cost them valuable marks. Students must go through the NEET paper attentively and be aware of the steps to fill in the OMR sheet, basic rules of the exam, negative markings etc. before attempting to solve it. 

2. Poor Time Management 

While preparing for NEET 2022 exam, many students ignore the importance of time management during mock tests and lose track when solving the question paper. Since NTA NEET is a time-bound exam, it is imperative that candidates time themselves for each section – Biology, Chemistry and Physics. That way they can speed up and answer the questions with ease.

• All candidates must report to the NEET 2022 exam centre at least an hour before the scheduled exam time to allow time for security check-in and verification

• Candidates must carry the following documents on the day of the examination –

1. NEET 2022 admit card

2. A valid ID proof

3. Passport-sized photograph

4. PwD certificate (if applicable)

• Applicants are not to carry any barred items inside the exam hall, as listed below –

1. Electronic devices

2. Food/Beverages

3. Stationery items

4. Sharp/inflammable objects

• Applicants must follow all Covid-19 safety norms inside the premises, as advised by NTA –

1. Wear masks and disposable gloves

2. Carry sanitizer bottles

3. Maintain social distancing

• Candidates must arrive dressed appropriately, as per the NTA NEET Dress Code –

1. T-shirts/shirts/kurtis with short sleeves are allowed

2. Traditional jeans/trousers are allowed

3. Open-toed shoes/sandals/slippers are allowed

4. Any accessories, like goggles, belts, caps, watches, jewellery and ornaments are not allowed

5. Customary clothing is allowed provided the candidate has specified the same in the NEET application form

• Candidates must take the exam from the seats allotted to them

• Applicants must wait for the invigilator’s instructions before/during/after the examination regarding the filling up of the OMR sheet, signing the attendance sheet etc.
