Rajasthan Polytechnic Admission 2022 - The Directorate of Technical Education, Rajasthan, has released the final merit list on September 6, 2022. Candidates can visit the official website DTE and access the merit list. Rajasthan has announced the provisional merit list on September 4, 2022, the candidates could raise objections till September 5, 2022. The Last date for filling online application cum registration form was August 29, 2022. DTE Rajasthan had published the Rajasthan Polytechnic 2022 Merit List on August 25, 2022. The Merit List for Diploma Engineering and Non-Engineering Courses is now accessible on the official website. Candidates can obtain the merit list by entering their Application number and Date of Birth. DTE, Rajasthan had opened the application of Rajasthan Polytechnic on July 28, 2022, and the last date to apply was August 18, 2022.

The DTE Rajasthan is responsible for organizing the admission process for the polytechnic course in the state of Rajasthan. There are over 134 polytechnic colleges across the state, and almost 30,000 seats are available in these colleges. The courses offered by these institutes are approved by AICTE and the Board of Technical Education, Rajasthan, Jodhpur.

Rajasthan Polytechnic Eligibility 2022

The minimum eligibility criteria for admission in Polytechnic course in the states of Rajasthan is given below:

  • The candidate must have passed Rajasthan Secondary Education Board Secondary Examination or equivalent examination (Class 10th).

  • The candidate must have scored a minimum of 35% marks in aggregate in the Class Xth board examination.

  • He/ She must have passed in Mathematics and Science subject separately.

  • There is no age limit to apply for admission.

Rajasthan Polytechnic Application Form 2022

Candidates who want to take admission in Diploma Polytechnic course in the states of Rajasthan must visit which is the official website of the Department of Technical Education, Rajasthan.

  • On the home page, the candidate must select the admission Tab and visit the Polytechnic Admission link to apply.

  • The applicant must fill in the online application form and submit it before the deadline date of submission of the application.

  • After the submission of the application, the candidate will receive an acknowledgement on the registered email ID or SMS on the mobile number.

Rajasthan Polytechnic Admission/ Selection Process 2022

Admission in diploma courses offered in various institutes of Rajasthan is done through the centralised admission process. Selection is done on a merit basis i.e candidates performance in the qualifying examination (Class X or equivalent).

The complete selection process for admission in the Diploma Polytechnic course offers in the states of Rajasthan is explained here:

Step 1 - Fill the online Application Form

Board of Technical Education Rajasthan manages the admission process in diploma courses in the states of Rajasthan. Candidates seeking admission in diploma courses in the states of Rajasthan must visit the official website of the Board of Technical Education Rajasthan, create an account on the admission portal and fill in the online application form for diploma courses.

Step 2 - Upload Documents

The applicant must fill in the complete details in the application form and also upload the required documents.

Step 3 - Receive Acknowledgement

Once the application and required documents are received by the concerned examination authorities, the applicant receives an email/ SMS for the acknowledgement of the receipt of the application.

Step 4 - Make Correction in the Application Form

In case the applicant wishes to make any correction in the application, he/ she must log in to the online application portal and edit the application. The applicant must ensure to complete the application form before the defined date failing which the application will be rejected.

Step 5 - Check Merit List

All applications and uploaded documents received are scrutinised by the authorities after which a provisional merit list of candidates is prepared. The merit list s published on the official portal on defined dates. Category wise merit list is prepared.

Once the doubts and issues of candidates are resolved, the authority prepares the final merit list after which no request for changes is accepted.

Step 6 -Document Verification

Once the first round of seat allotment is done, candidates who are allotted a seat in an institute must visit the designated nodal centre to verify original certificates. The candidate will also have to deposit Rs 1000/-. Those who wish to appear in the second round of seat allotment will have to notify the same to the authorities at the nodal centre.

Rajasthan Polytechnic Seat Matrix and Reservation Policy 2022

15% of seats in the private polytechnic colleges for each branch is reserved for admission through the management quota. Admission is done on the basis of rules defined by the institute.

However, institutes in Rajasthan under public-private partnership policy do not consider admission through management quota.

Category wise seat reservation for admission in the polytechnic course in the institutes of Rajasthan is explained below:

SC/ ST/ OBC: 16% of the total seats for admission in diploma course is reserved for Scheduled Caste (SC) ad 12 % is served for ST/ OBC (non-creamy layer ) category. Out of the total reserved seats, 25% of the seats are advisable for women under each category.

Candidates who wish to apply for the reservation must produce the required certificates at the time of admission.

EWS: Economically weaker section (EWS)candidates are offered a total of 10% seat reservation in the respective institute of the state.

Wards of Military Personnel

As per the guidelines of the Rajasthan State Government, 5% of the seats are reserved for candidates who are dependents of Defence personnel. As per the Ex-servicemen Welfare, Ministry of defence, ex-servicemen/ dependents of soldiers will be given priority on reservation policy based on defined priority guidelines.

Physically Handicapped (PH):

4% of the total seats in all the polytechnic institutes in India is reserved for candidates who belong under Physically Handicapped (PH) category.

Widow/ Divorce

50% of the total seats reserved for women are for those women who come under the category of Widow/Divorce

Apart from this, certain seats are also reserved for Single Mother Dependent and Kashmiri migrants as per the guidelines defined by migrants.
