WBJEE 2023 B.Tech Mechanical Engineering Cutoff: West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board conducted the WBJEE counselling 2023 process from July 20 to 25, 2023. The counselling process is conducted in three rounds i.e. allotment, degradation, and mop-up round. The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board will release the WBJEE B.Tech Mechanical Engineering Cutoff 2023 on its official website after each round of counselling. WBJEE 2023 Cutoff Marks

The WBJEE Cutoff 2023 will be released following the announcement of the results.  The cutoff marks will be determined by the authority based on the availability of cutoff vacant seats, the marking scheme, the difficulty level of the WBJEE 2023 exam, previous years' cutoffs, reserve categories, and the total number of candidates who apply. WBJEE 2023 Rank List

Along with the results, the board will publish the WBJEE Rank list 2023 on its official webiste. It will be based on the exam questions and the candidates' scores. Candidates whose names appear on the rank list are eligible to participate in the counselling process. During the counselling process, the candidates' ranks will be taken into account when allocating seats in various courses. The rank card must also be obtained from the website by the candidates. In addition, the authority will publish a separate rank merit list for the reserved categories.

How to Calculate the WBJEE Cutoff 2023 Marks?

Candidates should be aware of the procedure of calculating the WBJEE Cutoff scores 2023. The WBJEE 2023 cutoff is determined in two steps: score calculation and merit list publication. WBJEE 2023 Score Calculation

The WBJEE 2023 scores can be calculated by the marking scheme released by the authorities. The total number of correct answers is added, and the total number of incorrect answers is subtracted. Scores are calculated differently for categories 1, 2, and 3 as defined in the WBJEE Exam Pattern 2023. 

For Category 1

• There is only one correct answer
• Each question is worth one point
• 1/4 marks will be deducted for incorrectly marked responses

For Category 2

• There is only one correct answer
• Each question is worth two points
• ½ marks will be deducted on marking incorrect responses

For Category 3

• One or more of the options may be correct
• Two points will be awarded for each correct answer
• For a partially correct answer, Total marks = 2 X (number of correct options/total number of correct options)
