West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) conducts the WBJEE 2025 counselling to offer qualified students admissions to the participating colleges. The board conducts counselling online. WBJEEB was expected to release the WBJEE counselling date 2025 in July; however, the counselling for WBJEE exam has been delayed, and the exam authority will soon release the WBJEE counselling dates and the complete schedule. Students who qualify for the WBJEE 2025 exam will be eligible to participate in the WBJEE counselling process. The centralised counselling will be conducted online and will be completed in multiple rounds. The counselling 2025 process will include multiple steps such as registration, option entry, payment of the fee, WBJEE 2025 choice filling, seat allotment, and document verification. 

WBJEEB is expected to announce the WBJEE counselling 2025 date soon after the WBJEE 2025 result. To participate in the counselling, you will also be required to pay the registration fee. The entire process consists of three stages: Allotment, Upgradation, and Mop-Up. Once seats are allotted, you will be required to report to the college and complete all the admission formalities.

Documents Required for WBJEE Counselling Process 2025

The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board, in its official information brochure, will specify the list of documents that you are required to produce at the time of WBJEE counselling 2025 and provisional admission. The documents must be furnished at the time of certificate verification. You are instructed to keep the following documents handy before reporting to the allotted institute to ease the verification and WBJEE counselling process. 

*NOTE: You must take note that you are required to carry all the following certificates mentioned in the above table in the original form. Similarly, you are required to carry a self-attested copy of all the original documents while reporting to the institute.

Step by Step WBJEE Counselling Process 2025

The detailed counselling procedure for admission into various participating colleges is available at CollegeDekho's page. The WBJEE 2025 counselling dates 2025 will be released soon. The WBJEE counselling process will commence online. The WBJEE 2025 participating colleges are responsible for updating the number of seats vacant after each round of the counselling. If you are looking forward to joining colleges through WBJEE 2025, keeping track of the counselling dates is necessary.  During the counselling, you need to register and select your courses and colleges in the preferred order. The WBJEE seat allotment results will be announced online separately for each round of counselling.

Here is the step-wise, detailed counselling 2025 procedure that you must adhere to. 

Step 1: Online Registration

This is the first step of the WBJEE counselling process 2025, wherein you have to register. You must visit the WBJEEB counselling website at wbjeeb.nic.in and click on the 'Online Registration and Choice Filling for WBJEE 2025' link on the homepage. You will be redirected to the online student login page. Next, you must click on 'New Registration' to initiate fresh registration or hit the 'Sign-In' link to continue with your previous login credentials. You must provide the necessary details, such as Roll No., DOB, Password, Security PIN, etc. You will be required to enter your personal details, academic details and bank account details during the registration process. 

Step 2: Fee Deposition

Next, you will have to deposit INR 500/- as the counselling fee via any of the available online payment methods, such as credit card, debit card or net banking facilities. The counselling fee is non-refundable and shall not be remitted under any circumstances. 

Step 3: Choice Filling

In this step, you have to fill in your choices from the list of colleges and courses available on the website. After selecting the respective college and course from the list, you are required to arrange them in order of priority. If you do not enter your choices, then no allotment will be issued. It is recommended you enter the maximum number of colleges and courses during choice filling to increase your admission chances. 

Step 4: Choice Locking

You must lock your choices before the assigned WBJEE counselling 2025 date. Moreover, you must take a printout of the locked choices for future reference. If you fail to lock preferences, then the saved choices will be considered final, and they will be locked automatically. You will not be allowed to modify choices once they are locked.

Step 5: Seat Allotment 

Based on your rank, preferences marked during counselling, and seat availability, the authority will allot seats in the participating colleges. The WBJEE 2025 seat allotment result will be published online after each round of counselling. If you secure a seat, you will have to pay the seat acceptance fee and report to the allotted institute for document verification and admission. 

Step 6: Payment of Seat Acceptance Fee

If you are allotted a seat in the first round of the online WBJEE counselling 2025 procedure, you must pay the provisional admission fee. You will either have to opt for seat confirmation or upgradation. In both scenarios, you must deposit the online provisional admission fee. The payable fee amount will vary according to the category and institution. Details regarding the same have been given below:

Step 7: Physical Reporting at Reporting Centres

After the payment of the provisional admission fee, you will have to physically report to your respective Reporting Centres to get your documents verified. You must be present along with the necessary documents to prove your candidature. You will be issued a provisional admission letter or allotment card from the reporting centres. 

Furthermore, you will have two options. You may either choose to accept the seat offered to you or opt for the upgradation process. In case you withdraw from the counselling procedure at any RC, you will be refunded the provisional admission fee (MHRD Refund Policies).

If you do not wish to participate in the subsequent WBJEE counselling 2025 and seat allotment rounds must collect your provisional admission letter and report at the allocated institute before the final date. 

Round 1 WBJEE Counselling Date 2025

The WBJEE Round 1 counselling for 2025 is expected to start in July 2025. The exam authority will release the WBJEE counselling 2025 date soon. During this time, you need to register, pay the counselling fee, and choose your preferred colleges and courses through the official link. After this, the first provisional seat allotment list will be released, showing which students have been allotted seats. Students who get a seat will then need to pay the seat acceptance fee, report to the allotted college, and complete document verification, all in the month of July.

Round 2 WBJEE Counselling Date 2025

To take part in the second round of WBJEE 2025 seat allotment, students who will be upgraded in the first round and want to take admission into the allotted colleges will have to report to the institutes during the second round. The WBJEE counselling 2025 dates determine when applicants can secure their seats in their preferred courses and colleges. However, students who will be allotted their first choice during the WBJEE counselling 2025 Round 1 will not be eligible for upgradation. They will only be allowed either to cancel their seats or accept the allotted ones. The number of seats which remained vacant after the first round of seat allocation will also be published by the Board. After you have been allocated seats in the second round, you must report to the Reporting Centres as soon as possible otherwise, the seat allocated to you will stand a chance of being cancelled. 

Mop-Up Round WBJEE Counselling Date 2025

The third and final round in the WBJEE counselling process is the Mop Up Round. The WBJEE mop-up round 2025 is conducted to fill up any vacant seats after the completion of the second round of the seat allotment process. The WBJEE counselling date 2025 for the mop-up round will be announced soon. If you had been offered a seat and you choose to accept, you must immediately report to the reporting centres and get your documents verified. If you have not previously participated in the counselling process, you will have to pay a fee of INR 1,000 during this round. Who Is Eligible for Mop-Up Round WBJEE Counselling 2025?

• Students who have secured a seat in the previous rounds and paid the seat acceptance fees, but have not taken admission.

• Students who have not secured a seat in either of the previous two rounds.

• Students who have not registered in the prior rounds of counselling.

• Students who have withdrawn or exited the counselling for any reason. 

*NOTE:

• The seats of students who will be cancelled will report to their respective RCs within the given period. Such students will not be considered for allotment of seats in the subsequent seat allotment rounds

• The WBJEE counselling date 2025 for admission will be published by the Participating Colleges in the PI module.

• Finally, WBJEEB will release a final admission status by compiling the PIs generated by all the participating colleges and will hand over the same to the office of the Director of Technical Education (DTE), Government of West Bengal

• If a candidate has been allocated a seat during any of the counselling rounds and the candidate opts for Up-gradation, him/her doesn't need to report at the RC when allocated a seat as a result of Upgradation.

Who is Eligible to Attend WBJEE Counselling 2025 with Defence Quota?

The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board schedules a second round of WBJEE counselling 2025 to fill seven vacant Defence Quota seats in various branches across government engineering and technology colleges. These vacancies are reported after the closure of the first round of Defence Quota counselling. The second round of counselling takes place at the WBJEEB Office, "RUPANNA," DB-118, Salt Lake City, Sector I, Kolkata - 700064 (Landmark: Opposite Bidhannagar College, Adjacent to DB Park). Students who will attend the first round of counselling but cannot secure a seat are eligible to participate in this round. Documents Required for Counselling

The counselling session will conclude once all seven vacant seats are filled. You must be physically present on the day of counselling with all the required documents to participate. Here is the list of documents:

• WBJEE-2025 Rank Card (downloaded) and a photocopy.
• Original Proof of Date of Birth and a photocopy.
• Original 10+2 standard examination mark sheet and a photocopy.
• One recent passport-size colour photograph.

Seat Allocation Preference:

• First Preference: Students who were physically present in the first round but were not allotted any seat will be given priority and seats will be allotted based on inter-se merit.
• Subsequent Preference: Fresh students physically attending this round will be considered for any remaining seats, with allotment based on inter-se merit.

Note: Domicile is not required for students applying under the Defence Quota in government engineering and technology colleges.

Important Guidelines for Centralized Online WBJEE Counselling 2025

The guidelines to follow for the centralised counselling have been mentioned below. If you are registering for the counselling process, you must go through the guidelines carefully. Once registered, the Board will conclude that you agree to the terms and conditions.

• All aspects of WBJEE 2025 counselling will be conducted in a centralised manner and in online mode only as per the WBJEE counselling date 2025 released.

• The WBJEEB counselling process is conducted for the seats available as per the seat matrix published on the official website

• Any candidate meeting the eligibility criteria and securing a WBJEE rank and/ or JEE rank can register for the WBJEE counselling process

• There will be three rounds in the counselling process, mainly - Allotment, Upgradation and Mop-Up.

• Registration is only allowed at the beginning of Round 1 and separate registration will be allowed during the commencement of the Mop-Up Round

• The Board will not allot vacant seats of the Reservation Category to General applicants

WBJEE 2025 Seat Allotment
