Who is Eligible for TS PGECET 2022 Round 2 Counselling?

Who is Eligible for TS PGECET 2021 Round 2 Counselling?

TS PGECET 2022 Round 2 counselling will begin soon as the exam has been conducted from August 2 to 5, 2022The TS PGECET 2022 Round 2 counselling will be conducted for the vacant seats left after round 1 as well as the newly sanctioned seats (if any). The official seats for round 2 seat allotment will be notified by the examination authority if and when conducted. The students must also note that not all the candidates from round 1 will be eligible for  TS PGECET 2022 round 2 seat allotment. There are specific eligibility requirements which the candidates must fulfil in order to participate in round 2 seat allotment. We will be discussing the detailed eligibility criteria for TS PGECET 2022 seat allotment in this article.

Who is Eligible for TS PGECET Round 2 Counselling?

Given below are the detailed eligibility rules for TS PGECET Round 2 Seat Allotment:

Eligibility Rule 1

The candidates who acquired seats in round 1 and wish to move to another college

Eligibility Rule 2

The candidates who participated in round 1 but did not get a seat

Eligibility Rule 3

The candidates who did not participate in round 1 even after being called for counselling

Eligibility Rule 4

The candidates who were allotted a seat in round 1 but did not report to the college

Eligibility Rule 5

The candidates who were allotted a seat in round 1 but cancelled their admission

Who is NOT Eligible for TS PGECET Round 2 Counselling?

The following candidates will not be eligible for TS PGECET Round 2 Seat Allotment:

Non-Eligibility Rule 1

The candidates who were allotted seats in round 1 and are satisfied with the seat.

Non-Eligibility Rule 2

The candidates whose documents did not get verified.

Important Instructions Regarding TS PGECET Round 2 Counselling

Given below are some of the important instructions which the candidates must keep in mind regarding TS PGECET Round 2 Seat Allotment:

  • The options exercised for round 1 will not be considered valid for round 2 and the candidates will have to AGAIN practice choice filling for round 2

  • In case the candidates are satisfied with the seats allotted in round 1, they do not have to fill the choices again

  • The candidates should also practice choice filling for the colleges with no vacant seats as the seats can be vacant later due to sliding, cancellation, and conversions

  • The candidates who get seats in round 2 will have no claim on round 1. The candidates will have to report to the allotted college before the last date, failing which, the candidate will have no claim on any seats for round 1 or round 2

  • If the candidates wish to cancel their admission after round 2, they will have to report to the college principal

  • The leftover seats after allotment for GATE / GPAT Candidates is alone available for TS PGECET candidates

TS PGECET 2022 Counselling


The Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE) will conduct the TS PGECET 2022 round 2 counselling registration, fee payment and document verification on its official website pgecet.tsche.ac.in. The counselling process of TS PGECET is conducted separately for GATE/ GPAT qualified candidates and the candidates who have a valid rank in the TS PGECET 2022 examination. During TS PGECET 2022 counselling, the first preference will be given to GATE qualified candidates.
