Admission to all the academic programs offered by these Institutes will be made through a single platform. JoSAA is the ONLY authorized agency responsible for joint seat allocation.

Only the All India Rank (AIR) is used for admissions to NITs/IIITs/CFTIs/SFIs/Others.

To get considered for IITs, apart from your score/rank, the following are important:

  • If your admission at IITs or ISM was canceled in the past, then you are NOT eligible.
  • If you have been admitted to a preparatory course in any of the IITs for the first time in 2015 can appear in JEE (Advanced) 2016. Even if you have paid the seat acceptance fee but have not accepted the seat by reporting at the reporting center during joint seat allocation in 2015, you are eligible.

The candidates should satisfy at least one of the following two criteria for admission to IITs and ISM

  • Must have secured at least 75% aggregate marks in class XII (or equivalent) Board examination. The aggregate marks for SC, ST, and PwD candidates should be at least 70%.

  • The detailed instructions for filling in the choices and the seat allotment procedure will be made available by JoSAA through Seat Allotment Brochure.
