AIIMS MBBS Selection Process 2024

The selection process for AIIMS MBBS in 2024 hinges upon the NEET 2024 counselling procedure. The National Testing Agency releases a cut-off list post the declaration of the NEET UG 2024 Result. Meeting the NEET Cutoff 2024 is crucial for eligibility in the NEET-UG counselling process 2024.

  • Eligibility for AIQ Counselling: Candidates must meet the NEET-UG 2024 cut-off criteria to participate in the NEET-UG counselling. Those who qualify become eligible for the All India Quota (AIQ) Counselling process. Selection under AIQ is solely based on performance in the NEET-UG 2024 exam.
  • Registration and Choice Filling: Registration with the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) is mandatory for AIQ counselling. After completing registration, candidates can fill their choices of colleges and courses. It's advised to prioritize colleges based on personal preferences. The process for altering college priority is accessible via the provided link.
  • State-wise Counselling: Apart from AIQ, candidates can also opt for state-wise counselling. Here, colleges reserve 85% of seats for domicile students and 15% for AIQ students. Applicants can apply for both categories or choose one as per their preference.
  • Increasing Competition and Seat Availability: The removal of university and state-level medical admission tests has intensified competition for MBBS seats in India. Reports indicate a staggering ratio of more than 21 applicants per available MBBS seat. However, the inclusion of AIIMS and JIPMER colleges under NEET-UG 2024 expands the total seat capacity. Additionally, both state and central governments are actively augmenting the overall number of MBBS seats in the country.

Dear Student, For admission to the BVSc at GB Pant University of Agriculture and Technology Pantnagar, the expected ranks vary by category. If you're a general category candidate, aim for a rank within 500 to 1000. For OBC candidates, the range is 600 to 1200. SC candidates should ideally secure a rank between 1500 and 2000, and for ST candidates, the rank should be between 2700 and 3200. As the actual cutoff ranks can vary each year, striving for a high rank in the entrance exam conducted by the university will increase your chances of admission. Best of luck!
