The Government of India is expected to increase the number of MBBS seats intake by early 2026, with the inauguration of more medical colleges in the country. Apart from the above-mentioned MBBS seats, there are 27,868 seats for BDS, 603 seats for BVSc & AH, and 52,720 seats for AYUSH courses across the top government medical colleges in India. In the recent past, a 10% rise in the seat availability for MBBS admissions under the NEET UG Exam has been witnessed.
