With a recent expansion in the NEET UG Eligibility Criteria, now PCM students can take NEET 2025 ! However, to appear for NEET UG 2025, aspirants with PCM as core subjects are required to have taken Biology or Biotechnology as an additional or extra subject during 10+2. Interested candidates need to to be 17 years or older in age to be considered for NEET admissions.

Eligibility Criteria for PCM Students Taking NEET 2025

PCM students must have Biology or Biotechnology as an additional subject in their Science stream to be eligible for NEET 2025. Candidates can find the eligibility criteria for PCM students taking NEET 2025 below:

General category: 50%, OBC/SC/ST: 40%, PwD: 45%

Number of Attempts

No limit on the number of attempts.

Year of Passing

Candidates appearing for their qualifying exam in 2025 are also eligible to apply.

How to Tackle NEET 2025 as a PCM Student?

Candidates can tackle NEET 2025 as a PCM student by understanding the NEET Syllabus 2025 and the NEET exam pattern. Students can start by preparing basics along with understanding the NEET syllabus 2025 topics. Further, they must take note of the NEET Exam Pattern, marks distribution and the marking scheme per question type. Below are some of the tips that will help students tackle NEET 2025 as PCM students.

  1. Understand the NEET 2025 Syllabus: PCM students are likely to have studied Biology in class 10th to some extent. Therefore, they must comprehend the Biology syllabus topics, and sub-topics to understand the questions in the exam paper. The questions in the exam will be asked from the syllabus itself.
  2. Comprehend the NEET Exam Pattern: PCM students need to understand the exam pattern, marking scheme, and marks per question. It will help them to prioritize the important topics along with the chapters that they must study to get good marks.
  3. Break Concepts into Small Blocks: As a PCM student there will be certain roadblocks that candidates will have to face during their preparation for NEET 2025.
