With NEET 2020 counselling has started, students are now gearing up and preparing to appear in the counselling process. MBBS is one of the most aspired courses for higher education in India. Admissions to the programme are done through the National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET). It is through valid NEET scores that candidates get selected to different public or private medical colleges in India. NEET 2020 Result was released on 16th October 2020. Earlier, the result was to be published on 12th Oct, but with the announcement by the Apex Court of allowing students who couldn't take NEET on 13th Sep due to COVID-19 infection to re-appear on 14th Oct, the result was delayed.  MCC has announced the NEET 2020 Counselling Schedule. The NEET 2020 Round 1 Seat Allotment Result was announced on 6th November 2020.

From meeting the eligibility criteria for the exam and course to seat enrollment, there are several stages and steps in the admission process. Documents Required for NEET Counselling 2020 MBBS Admission

Here is a list of documents that you must carry with you at the time of NEET counselling for MBBS admissions. 

  • MBBS admission application form in the prescribed format

  • NEET Hall Ticket or Admit Card

  • NEET Rank Card

  • NEET Score Card

  • Date of Birth (D.O.B.) Certificate

  • Provisional Seat Allotment Letter/ Call Letter

  • Cast Certificate

  • Prepaid Fee Receipt

  • Class 10 Marksheet

  • Class X Passing Certificate

  • Class 12 Marksheet

  • Class XII Passing Certificate

  • PUC Marks Card and Passing Certificate (if any)

  • AADHAR Card as address proof

  • Character Certificate issued by the recently attended school or college

  • Transfer Certificate  issued by the recently attended school or college

  • Migration Certificate

  • Domicile Certificate

  • Family Income Proof

  • A copy of the parents’ PAN Card

  • Proof for the parents’ address and identity

  • At least 8 recent passport size photos of candidates 

  • Medical Fitness Certificate

Special Instructions for NEET 2020 MBBS Admission Documents 2020

Migration Certificate

This is required for students who are participating in state counselling but are from outside of that particular state. 

Family Income Proof

Required by SC/ ST/ OBC candidates*

Recent Photograph

All the photographs must be identical, recent and must have candidates’ names written on them in capital letters and year on the back. 

Medical Fitness Certificate

Required by all. The certificate must be approved by a Medical Council of India (MCI) registered medical practitioner and must include blood group as well. 

Caste Certificate

Only the candidates who fall under reservation are required to carry their Caste Certificate. Candidates belonging to General category do not require to carry one.

Is it necessary to lock the filled up choices in NEET counselling 2020?

Candidates should lock the choices once they are final. There will be no option to change the preferences once the choices are locked. Incase one has not locked the saved choices then they will automatically get locked after the assigned date

DO you require Medical Fitness Certificate for NEET UG Counselling 2020?

NEET 2020 Medical Fitness Certificate is required by all for NEET 2020 counselling. The certificate must be approved by an MCI registered medical practitioner and must include a blood group as well. 

How many rounds are there in NEET Counselling?

There are 235 medical colleges will participate in the counselling process of NEET 2020. A total of three rounds of NEET 2020 Counselling will be organised including a mop-up round. The  NEET mop up round of counselling will be conducted only for Deemed/Central University.
