Eligibility Criteria for DTE MP B.Tech Lateral Entry Counselling 2021

The candidates must read the complete eligibility criteria for DTE MP B.Tech Lateral Entry Counselling 2021 before filling the application form. AICTE and MP State Government prescribes the eligibility for admission. Given below is the detailed eligibility requirement which the candidate must fulfill for DTE MP B.Tech Lateral Entry Counselling 2021:

  1. The Candidate must have passed a regular three-year Engineering Diploma program in any branch of Engineering/Technology from an Institute/University recognized by AICTE/UGC or equivalent.

OR

The candidate must have passed the BSc degree examination from a university recognized by the UGC and have passed the 10+2 examination with mathematics as the major subject.

  1. The candidate must have acquired an overall aggregate of 45% (40% for reserved candidates) in the qualifying examination.

  2. The candidates must have scored a qualifying score in the Common Entrance Test.

  3. Weightage of 10 percent of the marks obtained in the Common Entrance Test shall be given to those candidates who have been awarded Gold Medal in the National level Sports Competition.

  4. All the candidates who belong to the reserved category must fulfill the requirements for attaining the domicile category of the state.

Merit List for DTE MP B.Tech Lateral Entry Counselling 2021

After the application process is completed, the Competent Authority will release the merit list for DTE MP B.Tech Lateral Entry Counselling 2021. The merit list will be prepared on the basis of the score obtained by the candidates in the qualifying exam. On the merit list, each candidate will be provided a merit number which will be used to allot seats to the candidates. If two or more candidates get the same merit number in the merit list, the candidate who is older in age will be given preference. The candidates who have their name on the merit list will have to download the seat allotment letter from the official website and bring it along with other documents to the college at the time of seat allotment.

The candidates who have been shortlisted through the DTE MP B.Tech Lateral Entry Counselling 2021 merit list will be called for the seat allotment process. The seat allotment will be done through college level counseling. 

The candidates will have to follow the given below steps for DTE MP B.Tech Lateral Entry Counselling 2021 seat allotment:

  • The candidates will have to register themselves for the seat allotment process through the official website.

  • After the registration, the candidates will have to get their documents verified at the helpdesk centers.

  • The candidates will have to fill their choices for the preference of college online before the final date.

  • First, the reserved candidates will be called for the DTE MP B.Tech Lateral Entry Counselling 2021. The counseling of the reserved candidates will be done in the following order namely- Scheduled Tribes, Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Class, Scheduled Tribes/Scheduled Castes.

  • If the seats remain vacant after the counseling of reserved candidates, the counseling for the unreserved candidates will begin. Such candidates of the reserved category, who have also secured a place in the merit list of reserved category, shall have the option to choose the institution/Branch of unreserved Category. If the candidates belonging to the reserved category take admission against the unreserved category according to their merit, they shall be counted under the unreserved category.

  • If the seats remain vacant after allotting the seats to the Diploma in Engineering degree holders, the seats will be allotted to the candidates with BSc degrees

  • A maximum of 10% seats over the supernumerary of the previous academic year shall be available for admission through lateral entry admission to the B.Tech course.
