FMGE Internship 2025 rules and guidelines have been introduced by the NMC authorities. The FMGE 2025 Exam internship is a 12-month mandatory internship for foreign medical graduates. About the FMGE 2025 Internship

FMGE 2025 internship is a medical training program for Foreign medical graduates appearing in the FMGE exam. The FMGE internship is governed and managed by the National Medical Commission (NMC) authorities. The NMC authorities supervise medical education in India. NMC has mandated that FMGE pass-out students to take part in the FMGE internship process and complete it within two years after they appear in the exam.

FMGE internship is a compulsory rotating medical internship (CMRI) that is overseen by the NMC authorities. The minimum duration of the FMGE internship is 1 year but students can extend it to 24 months of their tenure. FMGE Internship 2025 Rules & Regulations

NMC authorities issue the guidelines regarding the FMGE internship every year. Therefore, students must adhere to the guidelines introduced by the FMGE authorities. Examinees must complete the internship regarding their candidature. Recently, NMC authorities have released guidelines regarding the FMGE internship that students should follow. Below is the list of guidelines for the FMGE internship 2025 given below.

• FMGE 2024 pass-out students must complete 12 months of mandatory training post-qualifying for the examinations. Post internship, NMC authorities will grant foreign medical graduates permission to practice their expertise in India.
• In case of an internship extension for exceptional cases, the FMGE internship tenure can be extended for a maximum of 24 months.
• Qualifying FMGE students must complete their FMGE exam internship within 2 years after passing the FMGE exam.
• Students must complete their internship from a recognised medical body under the NMC authorities and the state medical council.
• The State Medical Council issues the FMGE internship to qualifying students. They must contact the state medical council after their exam for the internship.
• FMGE interns will receive a stipend during their internship tenure every month, and the amount will be decided by the State Medical Council. Therefore, students must not pay a penny for an internship, but rather inform the state medical council in case any amount is charged for offering an internship.
• The internship amount offered to the FMGE pass-out will be equivalent to the stipend of the medical interns in India. It will be as per the norms and rules of the state government.

FMGE 2025 Exam Internship Stipend

• FMGE Internship stipend is a salary amount that will be provided to students in exchange for their contribution to a medical hospital.

• The state medical council doesn’t allow any authorised medical body to charge internship fees from students. In case any amount is charged, that must be reported to the state medical council immediately.
• The FMGE-qualifying students will receive all the internship facilities & benefits required for Indian medical graduates as per the guidelines of the NMC body.
• The stipend that will be decided will be based on state-local rules, standards and regulations.
• In the case of a two-year internship, students will receive a stipend amount in the second year.
• The first year will compensate for the missed clinical training that occurred during the MBBS course in foreign medical colleges.

What is FMGE Internship One-Time Relaxation?

The National Medical Commission (NMC) announces a one-time relaxation policy for foreign medical graduates. In this policy, students receive a relaxation of completing their internship under compulsory rotating medical Internship (CMRI) in verified hospitals. There are around 650 hospitals that take part in the process, which includes country-recognised non-teaching facilities as well. One-time Relaxation is a temporary measure that is applicable from the start of a student internship till one year. In this process, students get a time frame with flexibility to fulfil their internship requirements.

FMGE 2025 Internship Program Hospital List

NMC authorities approve and release the list of hospitals that take part in the FMGE Internship program. The State Medical Council allocates students to the hospitals and decides their stipend.
