Goa Polytechnic Admission 2020 - The admission schedule for Polytechnic admission in Goa has been announced, and the last date to submit the application form is September 10, 2020. Goa Polytechnic or Technical Diploma is a technical course which is managed by the Directorate of Technical Education in Goa. Directorate of Technical Education, Government of Goa defines the admission process for the polytechnic courses in Goa. There are various polytechnic courses offered in the fields of Engineering/Technology, Hotel Management and Pharmacy in the State. Goa Polytechnic Eligibility Criteria 2020

Following are the eligibility criteria for Goa polytechnic admissions:

  • Candidate must have passed Secondary School Certificate Examination from a recognised board

  • The minimum percentage for Engineering course is 35% in SSC (Std. Xth) or equivalent examination

  • The minimum percentage for Hotel Management & Catering Technology/ Modern Office Practice (MOP) Course is 35% in HSSC (Science/Commerce/Arts/Vocational) or equivalent examination

  • The minimum percentage for Pharmacy course is 35% in the HSSC (Science) or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry and Biology / Mathematics as compulsory subjects

  • There is no age limit for admission

  • Non- Residential Indian holding an Indian passport can apply for the course under NRI quota

  • Candidates with foreign nationality must apply to Government of India under GOI nomination

  • Overseas Citizens of India (OCI)/ Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) cardholders can apply under NRI quota

Goa Polytechnic Application Process 2020

The process to fill the application form for the academic session 2020-21 has been changed. The detailed process to fill the application form can be checked below -

Step 1 - Application Fee PaymentClick on the official website link mentioned above. Firstly, click on the application fee payment link and pay the application fee of Rs. 1,500.
Step 2 - Reference IDAfter the payment of application form, a 10-digit Reference Number will be displayed on the screen. The candidates will have to note down the reference id/ number.
Step 3 - Download Fee Payment ReceiptDownload the fee payment receipt in PDF format. The candidates must upload the fee payment receipt along with application form. 
Step 4 - Form FillingThe candidates will have to fill the form now by registering through the official website. Reference ID is mandatory to activate the application form. Fill the form carefully and submit. 

Goa Polytechnic Selection Process 2020

Given below is the selection process for Goa polytechnic 2020:

Merit-based Admission

Admission to Goa Polytechnic is merit-based. It depends on the marks obtained in the academic subjects in SSC. The candidates who are shortlisted for the course must report at the Admission Centre (DTE) in person for admission rounds. They must carry with them the acknowledgement cum admit card, documents in original and fees. Candidates who complete SSC examination must also show the Certificates from the qualifying board.

The decision of the Admission Committee and the Director of Technical Education is final. Director of Technical Education reserves the right to modify application schedules as per the need.
