Odisha Polytechnic Admission 2023 - The final round of polytechnic admission is being taking place where candidates can download the final seat allotment letter and reporting to college from July 17 to 21, 2023. The authorities will publish the institute and branch wise vacant seat report on its official website on July 25, 2023. The spot admission process for the vacant seats will commence from July 26, 2023 to August 4, 2023.  

Directorate of Technical Education and Training, Odisha is responsible to conduct admission procedures for admission in Polytechnic courses in Odisha. The state has well-established government and private polytechnic institutes that offer Polytechnic courses in various disciplines. The institute and course offered are approved by the AICTE / State Govt. and affiliated to SCTE&VT, Odisha, Bhubaneswar. There are over 150 Engineering Colleges/ Polytechnics institutes in Odisha and around 50,000 students are enrolled in various polytechnic courses in these institutes. For admission, a centralised merit-based admission procedure is conducted. The candidate must meet the minimum eligibility criteria, fill in the application form and attend counselling to get admission into one of these colleges in the polytechnic course.

Odisha Polytechnic Eligibility Criteria 2023

The eligibility criteria for admission to Polytechnic course offered in the state of Odisha is given below -

  • The candidate must have passed the HSC examination (Class 10th) conducted by BSE, Odisha or equivalent
  • He/ She must have obtained a minimum of 35% marks in aggregate
  • The minimum marks secured in English, Mathematics, and Science subjects each should be 30%
  • The minimum age of the candidate must be 14 years. There is no upper age limit to apply
  • For admission in Diploma in Mining and Drilling Engineering, the candidate’s minimum age should be 16 years

Candidates seeking admission in the polytechnic courses offered by participating institutes in the states of Odisha can apply online. The step by step procedure to fill in the online application for Odisha polytechnic course is given below: -

Step 1: Complete the Registration

  • Click on the link and select ‘Diploma New Aspirant’ tab. You will be redirected to a new page. Visit ‘Online Admission 2023 for Diploma Course’ link and Sign Up as a new user. The direct link to apply is given below:
  • You will have to enter details like Name, mobile number, email ID for registration. An OTP will be sent on the registered mobile number for validation.
  • Now, you can use the login details to access the online portal. The registered mobile number can be used as the username and password can be self-generated.

Step 2: Complete the Application Form

After login to the account, fill in the application form by adding details in the fields. It includes personal details, academic details, residential details, category details, financial status etc.

Step 3: Upload Images

You must also upload a scanned recent colour photograph of size 100KB and Full Signature of size 30KB.

Step 4: Pay Application Fees

The payment of application fees can be done online using a credit card, debit card or net banking. The application fee for Odisha Polytechnic course for different category of the candidate is given below: -

The candidates will have to carry the following documents to the respective counselling centre/ nodal centre on the specified dates -

Odisha Polytechnic Counselling Process 2023

Candidates who apply for the Polytechnic course will have to get their documents verified. The documents which are uploaded along with the applications are validated online. However, other applicants will have to report at the Nodal Centre for Counselling (NCC) for document verification.

A merit list is prepared after the applications and documents are verified for Polytechnic admission. The merit list is prepared on the basis of marks obtained in the qualifying examination.

After attending the counselling round, the candidate will be allotted one of the seats in the participating institutes in Odisha that offer the polytechnic courses.

The candidate will have to report at the respective institute and submit the required original documents on the day of reporting. The list of documents to be carried on the reporting day in the institute is as follows: -

  • Final Seat Allotment Letter (to be downloaded from the official website)
  • Fee deposit slips collected from the respective institution
  • Attested recent passport size photographs
  • Migration Certificate for candidates who have completed Class 10th from a board other than the Board of Secondary Education, Odisha.

The Admission fee for Government and Private Institutions is revised every year and it is updated and published on the official website.

The Tuition fees in Government institutes is around Rs.5,800/- per year and for Private Diploma Institutions, the admission fees is Rs.26,600/- per year. The fees may be revised for the current academic year.

Tuition fees may vary for Tuition Fee Waiver (TFW) candidates and reserved category candidates.

Hello Lucky, according to the website of Govt (Auto) P.G. College Chhindwara, the tuition fee for all courses is Rs 3,571 for the academic year 2023-2024. This includes MA, M.Sc, B.Com, and BCA courses offered to eligible students every year. Students applying for UG admissions must have passed class 12 whereas students applying for PG admission must have a bachelors degree in relevant discpline. The college also offers a hostel facility to female students, but the hostel fee is not known.
