There are three entry levels for Gujarat Polytechnic 2020 admissions. Candidates with a senior secondary certificate/class Xth passing certificate can apply for Gujarat Polytechnic 2020 Admissions.
- Candidates who have successfully completed ITI or TEB Certificate courses are also eligible for Gujarat Polytechnic Admissions 2020.
- There is no separate entrance exam conducted by the admissions office. The officials create a merit list after the registration process is complete to select the best from the lot.
Gujarat Polytechnic Admission Process 2020
The admission process for Gujarat Polytechnic 2020 is very simple. Candidates have to register for the same through the official website of ACPDC. While registering students have to mention their personal details along with scores secured by them in class X final examination. Candidates with ITI or TEB certificates will be mentioning their final scores while registering. The Admission Council will further evaluate all applications and create a merit list.

Step 1
Candidates interested in pursuing a diploma from Gujarat Polytechnic colleges can apply online for the same.
Step 2
Admissions Office will further evaluate all the incoming applications and look for the best candidates. A merit list will be prepared by the officials and candidates can check for their names on it.
Step 3
The counselling session will start after a week or two of merit list release. Candidates have to log in to their admission account and make a preference of courses that they would like to study. They also have to select the region to study along with the institute they want to join.
Step 4
The classes of polytechnic courses will start in early August after the counselling process comes to an end.
Gujarat Polytechnic Merit List 2020
The Admissions Office releases a provisional admission merit list for Gujarat Polytechnic Admissions 2020. Candidates whose name is on the list have to fill in the preferences of colleges and courses online. While allocating a position on the merit list, marks obtained by the student in Mathematics, English and Science in the Class X examinations are considered. Total marks are calculated out of 300. In the case of marks clash, the following subject and score preferences would be followed:

Gujarat Polytechnic Counselling Process 2020
The Counselling process for the Gujarat Polytechnic Admissions 2020 will start from the second week of June as soon as the merit list is released by the admissions council. When the counselling process begins, candidates with higher ranks would be allocated their first preference while others have to depend upon the availability of the seats and course in a particular institution.
As the first counselling process comes to an end, the officials will hold a second counselling round in the second week of July to fill the vacant seats, if any. The counselling process can also reach to the third or fourth stage if seats remain vacant.
Candidates have to take all the required documents while going for the counselling process. To confirm the admission, students will also have to pay the fee for the course. Classes are most likely to start in the first week of August for all Gujarat Polytechnic institutes

Documents Required for Gujarat Polytechnic Admissions 2020
When the applicant goes for the counselling process to confirm their seat in the course of choice, the following documents must be carried by them to ensure hassle-free admission:
- Class 10th passing certificate from the state board or CBSE or any other recognized authority.
- If a candidate has completed ITI or TBE certifications, then proof of the same will be required at the time of seeking admissions.
- Mark sheet of Class X, ITI or TBE must be presented to the counselling team while confirming the admissions.
- For candidates wanting to take the benefit of reservations, it is important to carry a valid proof of the same. Certificate of caste issued by the government agency or any equivalent document would be required to take admission at Gujarat Polytechnic Institutes.
- Candidates must carry their domicile as proof of being a resident of Gujarat State.
- The tuition fee of the course can be paid either in cash or online, depending upon the preference of the candidate
