Punjab Polytechnic Admission 2020 - The online registration for Punjab Polytechnic admission is underway, and the last date to register for the first round counselling was August 17, 2020. The seat allotment for the first round will be released on August 24, 2020. Admission for Polytechnic courses in Punjab is considered on the basis of merit i.e performance in the matriculation(Class 10th) examination. An online counselling process is conducted by the Punjab State Board of Technical Education and Industrial Training for admission. A merit list is first prepared for candidates who fill in the online application form after which candidates will be eligible to attend the online counselling rounds. Punjab Polytechnic Eligibility Criteria 2020

The eligibility criteria for admission in the polytechnic course in Punjab is given below:

  • For admission in diploma courses offered in Punjab, the candidate must have passed matriculation examination and must have studied Maths, Science and English.

  • There is no age criteria for admission in diploma courses.

  • Seats reserved for admission in the affiliated institutes of Punjab is made as per the policy defined by Government of Punjab. The reservation policy for institutes located in Chandigarh is defined by the Chandigarh Administration.

  • The general eligibility criteria for admission is defined by the Punjab Government, Department of Technical Education and Industrial Training, Chandigarh.

  • Candidates seeking admission in part-time diploma course must have obtained desired overall marks and in Mathematics, Science and English at matriculation level. He/ She must also have at least two years of relevant experience on a full-time basis.

Punjab Polytechnic Application Form 2020

Candidates seeking admission in Diploma Polytechnic course in Punjab must register for online counselling process on the official website. Following are the steps to apply for Punjab Diploma Polytechnic counselling rounds.

  1. Fill in the application form for counselling. The candidate must add personal, academic and all the mandatory fields in the application form.

  2. The candidate must upload the mandatory documents along with the application. It includes the qualifying mark sheets, certificates, photographs and signature.

  3. After adding fields and uploading documents, the candidate must make payment of Registration. The registration fees is Rs 550/-. Payment can be done online using a debit card, credit card or net banking.

  4. Once the registration is done successfully, a seven-digit application number will be generated. The registration number is used as a Login ID to complete the registration process.

Documents Required for Punjab Polytechnic Admission 2020

Following are the list of documents that must be produced at the time of admission in diploma courses in Punjab:

  • Original Marksheet of qualifying examination.

  • Date of Birth Certificate

  • Character certificate issued by previous institutes

  • Domicile or Residential proof

  • Reserved category certificate

  • Income certificate, if applicable

  • Self-attested copies of above certificates

  • Recent passport-sized photograph

Punjab Polytechnic Online Counselling Process 2020

Candidates who meet the eligibility criteria and desire to take admission in diploma courses must first register for counselling process on the website “www.psbte.gov.in”. The dates and other information related to counselling is notified on the newspaper and published on the official website “www.punjabteched.com” and “www.punjabteched.net”. The counselling process is conducted in online mode. The National Informatics Centres (NIC), New Delhi is responsible for implementing the online off-campus counselling process for Punjab polytechnic admission.

The online off-campus counselling process for the Punjab Diploma Polytechnic Admission is a 100% transparent process for seat allotment and admission. It is centrally monitored and provides the best interface for candidates to complete the admission process online.

  1. The candidate must first register on the official website of the counselling process in online mode. They must fill the application form and upload the required documents to be considered for the counselling process.

  2. Punjab Diploma Polytechnic counselling process is conducted in three rounds. Those candidates who successfully register for the first round of counselling will have an option to choose the course and institute according to the preference.

  3. In the first round of counselling candidates from all states can participate for admission. Once the result of the 1st round of counselling is declared on the official website, the candidate can take a printout of provisional allotment letter, deposit the initial admission fees and report at the allotted institute for admission. The candidates can make the payment of fees online by login to candidates account.

  4. The candidate has an option to choose course and institute as per their preference in the first two rounds of online counselling. In case the seats remain vacant thereafter, the remaining seats will be filled under management quota.

Punjab Polytechnic Fee 2020

Once a seat is allotted in the diploma course in any round of counselling process, the candidate will have to make payment of initial tuition fees to confirm the seat allotment.

Admission fee payment can be done in offline modest the designated branch of the bank via challan which is generated on the students portal on psbte.gov.in website.

The fee structure for different institutes is defined as per the policy of the respective government. The latest fees structure for the diploma polytechnic course is published on the official website at the time of admission.

In case, a student wishes not to join a course, the admission fees deposited by him/ her will be refunded after the deduction of the processing fee of Rs 1000/-. However, a certain amount of fees is deducted, in case a student leaves the course after joining it. The amount refund is done within 30 days of the end of counselling.

Dear Student,

Yes, you can participate in the TS PGECET Counselling process if you have not registered for the COAP or CCMT Counselling. The seat allotment process for GATE qualifying candidates will be done separately on the basis of the score obtained by the candidates in the entrance exam. There is no need for COAP/CCMT registration for TS PGECET seat allotment. The TS PGECET counseling registration is starting today, on November 11, 2020, from 11 AM and you can visit the official website to get yourself registered for the counseling.
