Gujarat MCA Admission 2020: ACPC Gujarat has started the admission process for the MCA course in Gujarat for the academic session 2020-21, and the provisional merit list was announced on November 03. The Round 1 seat allotment result has been released on November 24, 2020. Gujarat Admission Committee for Professional Courses (ACPC) is responsible for conducting MCA (Masters of Computer Applications) admission every year to shortlist the eligible candidates for admission. Through ACPC, admission is provided to the candidates in MCA 1st year at various grants in aid & self-financed institutes and universities of Gujarat. From the academic session 2020-21, there will be no Lateral Entry admission in the MCA course. The revised course duration of MCA is 2 years.

For admission to 1st year of MCA, the seats will be available in two forms namely:

Government Seats: The government seats for Gujarat MCA Admission 2020 will be filled on the basis of the merit list prepared by the admission committee. The government seats will constitute 75% of total sanctioned seats for MCA admission in the unaided Colleges or Institutions in Gujarat.

Management Seats: The management seats for Gujarat MCA Admission 2020 will be filled on the basis of the inter-se merit list of the candidates having their names in the admission committee merit list. The inter-se merit list will be prepared by the management of the respective colleges. The management seats will constitute 25% of total sanctioned seats for MCA admission in the unaided Colleges or Institutions in Gujarat.

Gujarat MCA Eligibility Criteria 2020

In order to get eligible for Gujarat MCA Admission 2020, the candidates must fulfil the given below eligibility criteria:

• The candidates must have appeared for Common Management Aptitude Test (CMAT) as prescribed by AICTE for the corresponding year.

• The candidates must have passed a Bachelors’ degree with Mathematics or Business Mathematics or Statistics as one of the subjects from a recognised institute.

• The candidate must have acquired a minimum aggregate of 50% (45% for reserved candidates) in the qualifying examination.

• The candidates who have pursued a Bachelor’s degree in Bachelor of Computer Application/ Bachelor of Science (IT)/ Bachelor of Science (Computer) with 50% aggregate (45% for reserved candidates) are also eligible for admission in 2-year MCA course. 

• The candidates who are appearing for the final year examination can also apply for admission.

• The candidates will also have to download the seat allotment letter from the official website.
