The Institute of Chemical Technology(ICT), Mumbai was established in 1993 as the Department of Chemical Technology by the University of Mumbai. ICT Mumbai offers various UG, PG, and Ph.D. courses ICT Mumbai Ph.D. courses are one of the most popular among Ph.D. aspirants. The institute produced 100 Ph.D.s during 2009-10 which is the record for any institute in India engaged in chemical engineering and technology. Institute of Chemical Technology (ICT) Mumbai offer admission in Ph.D Programme with several specializations that you can choose as per your career interest. ICT Mumbai Ph.D admission will be based on a written examination conducted by the ICT itself, However, NET/JRF/SET qualified candidates will be preferred.   • Candidates from the reserved category need to score at least 55% aggregate marks.

Ph.D(Eng) in Agro Chemical Engineering, Petrochemical Engineering and Energy Engineering

  • Master's degree in the Plastic Engineering of ICT/ Agrochemical Engineering / Chemical Engineering / Chemical Technology (any branch at ICT)/ Pharmacy/ M.E in Petrochemical Engineering/ Environmental Engineering from any university recognized by UGC with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks or equivalent CGPA.
  • Candidates from the reserved category need to score at least 55% aggregate marks.

Ph.D(Eng) in Lipid Engineering, Polymer and Materials Engineering

  • Master's degree in the Chemical Technology (any branch at ICT)/ Chemical Engineering / Plastic Engineering/ Pharmacy of ICT with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks or equivalent CGPA.
  • Candidates from the reserved category need to score at least 55% aggregate marks.

How to Apply for ICT Mumbai Ph.D. Admission 2020?

To apply for ICT Mumbai Ph.D admission 2020, you will be required to fill an application form in online mode. The step-by-step process to fill the ICT Mumbai application form for Ph.D admissions is given below:

Step 1: Go to the official website of Institute of Chemical Technology (ICT) Mumbai, www.ictmumbai.edu.in.

Step 2: Move to the admission session.

Step 3: Fill all the personal information including Date of birth, Mobile No, Address, Caste, Name, Category Details in the space provided.

Step 4: Enter your academic information for Xth, XIIth / Diploma, Graduation. You must select the option between grade points or the percentage carefully. You will also have to enter your year of passing for each of the programs along with their specific board.

Step 5: Upload all the required documents including domicile certificate, Category/caste document, migration, etc. Besides this, you will also have to attach a passport size photograph with a maximum size limit of 40 kb. The format should be jpg or jpeg.

Step 6: Finally, submit the completed form along with the application fee and then you may take the print out of the same for future use.

Note:

  • Writing contact information such as mailing address, permanent address, mobile phone number/telephone number and e-mail address in the application form is mandatory. The incomplete application form will not be accepted by the institute.

Documents Required for ICT Mumbai Application Form 2019

All the documents which will be required while filling the ICT Mumbai application form are mentioned below.

  • SSC (Std. X) mark sheet.

  • College Leaving / Transfer certificate

  • Industrial / Teaching experience/ Gap Certificate, if any

  • Bachelor’s degree certificate

  • Migration certificate (within one month after confirmation of admission)

  • All Mark sheets of Bachelor’s Course

  • HSC (Std. XII) mark sheet

In addition to the papers listed above, you will need to submit a Caste Certificate, Caste / Tribe Validity Certificate if you belong to any of the Backward Class, SC / ST Categories, DT (NT(D))/NT(A)/NT(C)/NT(B)/OBC / SBC categories (Maharashtra State candidates only).

ICT Mumbai Ph.D Selection Process 2020

ICT Mumbai Ph.D. Selection process involves two main stages and they are explained in detail below:

You will have to appear for the qualify the entrance test conducted by the institute apart from scoring a good percentage in academics. Once selected, you will be called for the personal interview. It must be noted that no admission is allowed without fellowship. Scores in any of the entrance exam including CSIR/ DBT/ GPAT/GATE/NET will also be considered. Final selection will be done on the basis of merit which will be prepared by considering the scores in the entrance test and interviews in the ration of 70:30.
