The Indian Institute of Crafts and Design (IICD) 2024 admission process for BDes and MDes has begun for the academic session 2024-25. The online registration is now closed which began on October 10, 2023, and the deadline was December 28, 2023. Admission at IICD is based on the entrance exam conducted by the institute itself. The admit card for this entrance was issued on December 30, 2023, and the entrance exam took place on January 7, 2024.

On its official website, IICD declared the results for the eligible candidates who appeared for this entrance exam on January 12, 2024. So, the shortlisted candidates have to pay the admission fee between January 15 - 31, 2024.

• It is essential that the candidate receives at least 45 to 50 per cent marks in aggregate in the 10 + 2 degree.
• The student must have scored passing marks in all the subjects that he/ she has at the 10 + 2 level. Anyone with a back or a compartment exam that is yet to be cleared will not be accepted for admission.
• Students from all streams and disciplines can apply for admission to BDes at IICD.

IICD MDes Eligibility Criteria 2024

• The eligibility criteria for MDes at IICD entail the candidate to have completed his/ her education up to the undergraduate level.
• The candidate must have a bachelor’s degree in either design or architecture. Those who have pursued graduation in any other stream will have to apply for the 3 year long MDes programme offered at IICD.
• The university or college from which the student obtains his/ her bachelor’s degree must be recognised and approved by the UGC (University Grants Commission).
• It is mandatory that the candidate secures passing marks in all the exams that he/ she undertakes in graduation.
• The aggregate score of the applicant in the qualifying degree must not be less than 50 per cent.

IICD MVoc Eligibility Criteria 2024

• IICD offers an integrated course of MVoc to interested students. The MVoc eligibility criteria at IICD require the candidate to have completed his/ her higher secondary education in the regular mode.
• The student must have completed class 12th from a school that functions under a recognised central or state board of education.
• The aggregate marks of the applicant in class 12th board examinations must be at least 45 to 50 per cent.
• It is important for the applicant to have received passing marks in the exams of all the subjects that he/ she has at the 10 + 2 level.
• No restriction regarding the stream is enforced and students from all disciplines can apply for admission.
