Q1. A power line lies along the east-west direction and carries a current of 10 A. The force per meter due to the earth’s magnetic field of 10-4 T is 10-X N/m. The value of x is_____________.

Ans. 3

Q2. A particle moves in the x-y plane under the influence of a force such that the linear momentum is P(t) = A [ î cos kt – ĵ sin kt ] Where A and k are constants. The angle in degrees between force and momentum is_________.

Ans. 90

Q3. Light of wavelength 0.6 mm from a sodium lamp falls on a photocell and causes the emission of photoelectrons for which the stopping potential is 0.5 V. With the light of wavelength 0.4 mm from a mercury lamp the stopping potential is 1.5 V. Then, the work function in eV of the photocell surface is____________.

Ans. 1.5

FAQs

How can I choose the best books for JEE Main 2024 Physics?

Candidates should keep into consideration factors such as clarity of explanations, the number of practice problems, and recommendations from subject experts and previous JEE Main toppers when selecting books. Additionally, they should align their book choices with your learning style and needs.

Which subject is easier in JEE Main?

Chemistry in JEE Main involves more information than concepts. So, it becomes easier for the candidates to score in this section than Physics and  Mathematics.

Which are some of the high scoring topics in JEE Main Physics?

Some of the high scoring topics in JEE Main Physics are Current electricity, Oscillations and sound, Heat and thermodynamics, Newton’s laws of motion and Modern physics.

What is the most difficult physics chapter in JEE Main?

One of the most challenging yet crucial subjects for JEE Main Physics is Heat and Thermodynamics. Candidates who struggle with grasping the practical applications often face difficulty tackling related questions. This area encompasses two key aspects: conduction and convection (heat transfer).

Which is the toughest section in JEE Mains?

Mathematics is considered to be the most challenging subject in JEE Main due to its vast syllabus, complex problem-solving requirements, and the requirement for consistent practice and effort. However, with the right approach and strategies, candidates can successfully overcome the challenges and excel in the examination.

Is 120 a good score in JEE Mains?

120 marks in JEE Mains is considered an average score even as your expected percentile may range between 95-96%. A good score should have a 98-99%.

How a PCB student can get admission in Ambalika University to pursue BCA

Dewesh Nandan Prasad, Content Team

Dear Student,

A PCB student can pursue BCA admission at Ambalika Institute of Management and Technology (AIMT), Lucknow, if they have passed Class 12 from a recognized board with at least 45-50% aggregate marks (with possible relaxation for reserved categories) and crucially studied Mathematics as a subject in 10+2, as pure PCB without Maths typically disqualifies candidates for this computer applications program. The process is merit-based, involving online application via the AIMT website, document submission (Class 10/12 marksheets, ID proofs, photos), possible entrance test or interview, fee payment, and final verification. Candidates should verify current-year details directly from the official …

Does Ambalika university offer BTech in biomedical engineering course to PCB students and fees

Dewesh Nandan Prasad, Content Team

Dear Student,

Ambalika Institute of Management and Technology (AIMT), often referred to as Ambalika University in Lucknow context, does not offer a BTech in Biomedical Engineering; instead, it provides BTech in Biotechnology (Biological Engineering) and related specializations like BTech Biotech, which typically require PCM (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics) in Class 12 with a minimum 45-50% aggregate for eligibility via JEE Main/UPTAC counseling. PCB (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) students generally do not qualify for standard BTech engineering programs at AIMT, as explicit criteria mandate Mathematics alongside Physics and Chemistry, though some biomedical programs elsewhere accept PCB. Ambalika's biotech course follows PCM norms without …
