Handbag, Instrument/ Geometry/ Pencil box, Purse, any type of Paper/ Stationery/ Textual material (printed or written material)
Camera, Mobile Phone/ Earphone/ Microphone/ Pager, Calculator, DocuPen, Slide Rules, Log Tables, Tape Recorder, to wear/carry any type of watch, including Electronic Watches with facilities of calculator facilities, any metallic item or electronic gadgets/ devices in the Examination Hall/Room

Rough Paper – Candidates are provided with sheets for rough work by the invigilators at the JEE Main exam hall
Stationery – Candidates are provided with all the required stationery items, such as a Blue/ Black ballpoint pen, at the JEE Main exam centres only.

You can only change your JEE Main 2026 exam centre at the time of application form correction. You will find the link to change the exam centre at jeemain.nta.ac.in. Find the steps to change the JEE Main 2026 exam centre:
You need to visit the official website of NTA.
Then click on the JEE Main application form correction link.
Enter your JEE Main application number and password.
You need to click on the ‘Sign In’ option.

JEE Main Exam Centres 2026 - Exam Day Guidelines

You need to arrive at least 1 hour before the exam starts to complete security checks and document verification on time.
Examinees wearing religious attire must reach the centre early for thorough checking and frisking.
The gate will close 30 minutes before the exam begins, so late students cannot enter the centre after that.
Carry your JEE Main 2026 admit card and a valid photo ID (Aadhaar, Passport, Voter ID, Driving Licence etc).
The test-takers are advised to duly fill out the self-declaration form, paste their passport-sized photograph and provide their left thumb impression on the space provided.
You need to sit in your assigned seat only.
No mobile phones, smart watches, calculators, electronics, or metallic items are allowed in the examination centre.
No stationery, books, notes, or paper is allowed, as rough sheets will be provided.
You cannot leave the hall until the exam officially ends.
A pen/pencil and blank paper for rough work will be provided in the exam centre.
The applicants claiming PwD reservations must carry a PwD certificate and ID proof for the JEE Main exam issued by the competent authority to the exam centre.
