Maharashtra M. Pharm Counselling 2025: The admission for M.Pharm in Maharashtra will be carried out based on MHT CET and GPAT scores. The counselling process for M.Pharm is expected to begin from the last week of July or first week of August. The seat allotment will be done through the Centralised Admission Process (CAP) Counselling. Through MHT CET exam and GPAT, successful aspirants can take admission to M.Pharm in Government and Government professional educational institutions in the state of Maharashtra. Maharashtra M.Pharm Eligibility Criteria 2025

Candidates who meet the following eligibility criteria are eligible to register themselves for Maharashtra M.Pharm Counselling 2025-

For Maharashtra and All India Candidature Candidates:-

Indian National

The applicant should be an Indian National

Educational Qualification
  • Candidates need to secure a Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy approved by AICTE/ PCI or State Government approved institution.

  • Candidates also need to secure minimum of 55% marks in the bachelor's degree.

  • Candidates belonging to the Backward Class Category need to secure at least 50% marks.

Entrance Exam

  • Must have qualified GPAT conducted by the National Testing Agency

For sponsored candidates

  • Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of work experience (full-time) from any registered company/ industry or Government Autonomous Organization in the relevant field.

For NRI / OCI / PIO, Children of Indian workers in the Gulf countries, Foreign National:-

Educational Qualification

  • Candidates must obtain a Bachelor's degree in pharmacy with at least 55% marks approved by the AICTE/PCI or Government approved institution.

  • Any other criterion that the appropriate authority has declared from time to time, as defined under the Act.

Maharashtra M.Pharm Counselling 2025

Centralized Admission Process (CAP): - Candidates are accepted by the Unaided Private Professional Educational Institution through the CAP (CAP). The Government, Government Aided, and University Department shall also admit the candidates through CAP.

Stage 1: Registration

The eligible candidates aspiring for admission based on CET conducted by the Competent Authority of Maharashtra State should apply for Maharashtra M.Pharm Counselling. The steps to fill the registration form are mentioned below:-

  • Visit the official website of MAHCET i.e.www.mahacet.org

  • Fill up the Maharashtra M.Pharm Counselling Application form and upload valid scanned documents.

  • Before confirming any of the Facilitation Centres, the candidate may edit/update the information in his application form.

  • After applying form the candidates can verify the data if required. Then they need to take a printout of the application form and sign it.

  • A list of the documents required to be produced by the candidate to substantiate his claim will be mentioned in the printed application form.

  • Candidates need to carry the required documents for the verification of documents

Stage 2: Provisional Merit List

  • The Competent Authority will publish the Provisional merit list or Final Merit Lists.

  • On the official website, the provisional list of merits will be displayed.

  • Candidates may submit their grievances within the specified grievance period set out by the  Competent Authority.

  • No document shall be accepted after the scheduled dates

  • After that final merit of candidates will be displayed on the official website

Stage 3: Online Choice Filling

Display of Category Wise Seats:- Before filling the choice, the competent authority shall publish the complete information on the institutes, courses offered, intake and no. of seats available for each category.

  • Fill up your online choices in decreasing order in order to participate in CAP (Minimum 1 and maximum 300 choices).

  • Through the login, candidates can fill their online option.

  • For all candidates, it is mandatory to confirm the online option form through their login.

  • The candidate will not be able to change the options after the confirmation.

  • To avoid impersonation, applicants should not disclose their application ID & password to others.

Stage 4: Allotment & Reporting

The appropriate CAP Round allotment, which includes the assigned institute and course, will be made public by the relevant authority. Candidates are required to report for the Admission Reporting Centre (ARC) and accept the seat that the appropriate authority has offered. To apply for admission to the designated seat based on the final allocation in CAP rounds, the candidate must first report to ARC and then to the designated institute.

Stage 5: CAP Round 1

The Round-I seats will be published on the official website. The candidate whose names appear in the final CAP merit list is qualified to participate in this round.

  • If a candidate is given a seat in this round based on his top choice, the allocation will be automatically frozen, and the candidate will accept the allocation. Such a candidate is not permitted to take part in any further CAP rounds. After that, these applicants must come to the ARC to have their documents verified and to pay for their seats.

  • After that, the candidates will report to the designated institution and submit an application to be admitted to the designated seat. Such a candidate's claim to the assigned seat will be automatically revoked and the seat will be made available for a new allocation if they fail to return to ARC for confirmation of their seat by the Competent Authority.

  • If a candidate is happy with their seat allotment and does not want to take part in any more CAP rounds, they can freeze their seat by logging into their account with the seat they were given.

  • A candidate who has secured a seat other than their first reference and has not accepted a seat by not reporting to ARC is also qualified to participate in subsequent rounds.

Stage 6: CAP Round 2

Qualified candidates for Round II can alter or change their choice for the previous round. During this round, the seat will be allocated to eligible candidates under the following factors:-

  • Once a candidate is allocated the upward preference, his earlier seat allotment would be cancelled immediately. If no such upward preference is given, his previous allotment stands will be preserved.

  • After Round 2, no further option for change is available to the candidate. The allotment rendered and/or allotment retained in round 2 is final.

  • Reporting to Institute:- In accordance with the timetable, the candidate will confirm his admission to the college to which he has been assigned. The Institute will promptly confirm the required paperwork, upload the candidates' admissions into the online system via the Institute Login, and issue a system-generated receipt as proof of admission.
