NEET PG MD General Medicine Cutoff 2023

NEET PG MD General Medicine Cutoff tends to vary each year depending on the difficulty level of the NEET PG exam, number of applicants in the given year, total number of seats available etc. However, going by the previous trends, it is evident that the NEET PG cutoff has only increased over the years. The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will release the cutoff for this year soon after the NEET PG 2023 Results are out. To be eligible for the NEET PG 2023 Counselling, candidates must clear the minimum cutoff and make it to the merit list. 

Category-wise NEET PG 2023 Expected Cutoff Percentile 

NEET percentile cutoff differs based on the candidate category. While General candidates are required to score at least the 50th percentile to qualify for the counselling session, SC/ST/OBC candidates must obtain the 40th percentile to get through. For General candidates with Physical Deformities, the required score is 45th percentile as shown in the table below:

NEET PG 2023 Counselling and Seat Reservation

The total of seats for admission to NEET PG is categorized into the 50% All India Quota seats and 50% State Quota seats. This means that all the government institutes will have 50% of the total NEET PG MD General Medicine seats reserved for candidates applying under the All India Quota. This is carried out by the MCC. The remaining 50% of seats will be reserved for candidates belonging to the respective states under the 505 State Quota. 

NEET PG 2023 Seat Reservation

The latest reservation system for NEET PG admission under the 50% All India Quota ensures equal opportunities for candidates from diverse backgrounds. As per the system, 27% of the total seats are reserved for OBC candidates, 15% for SC candidates, 10% for candidates belonging to the EWS category, 7.5% for ST candidates, and 5% for candidates with Physical deformities, as depicted in the table below:
