NEET PG Merit List 2020

The merit list of NEET-PG 2020 will determine the candidate's position as per his/her rank in the entrance exam. After the result of NEET-PG 2020 has been released, National Board of Examinations (NBE) will release the merit list of NEET PG 2020 in online mode. The NEET PG merit list 2020 of different states will help the candidates to figure out his/her admission chances in medical colleges as per merit. Only the candidates who qualify the entrance examination will be listed in the merit list. 

After taking the examination, candidates must note that different merit lists of NEET PG 2020 will be prepared on the basis of rank scored by every candidate the entrance examination. The type pf merit lists that will be prepared by the authority are, All India NEET PG 2020 Rank, All India 50% Quota Rank, All India 50% Category Rank, State/Union Territories NEET PG Merit List 2020.

As per the ranks of the candidates in the NEET PG merit list 2020, candidates will be able to participate for NEET PG 2020 counselling. The rank list of NEET PG 2020 will be made available in PDF format and can be downloaded for future references.

What are the Steps to Download NEET PG 2020 Merit list 2020?

Candidates can download the merit list of NEET PG 2020 by following the steps given below: 

Step 1: When NEET PG 2020 merit list will be released, candidates can click on the link that will be provided on this page.

Step 2: In this step, candidates will be required to search their roll numbers in NEET PG 2020 rank list.

Step 3: The merit list of NEET PG 2020 will be available in PDF format. Hence, candidates must download the same for future references.

What are the Types of NEET PG 2020 Merit List?

Candidates may take a look at the following types of NEET PG 2020 merit list given in the below table:

NEET PG Merit Rank

  • NEET PG Merit Rank list will have the list of roll numbers of the candidates who will appear for entrance examination. 

  • Candidates will be allotted a rank as per their qualifying status.

All India 50% Category Rank

  • All India 50% Category Rank is a category-wise merit list mentioning NEET PG 2020 rank of aspirants as per their respective categories. 

  • This merit rank will be valid only for 50% All India Quota seats.

State/Union Territories NEET PG Merit List 2020

  • On the basis of NEET PG 2020 merit list, the respective state/UTs state counselling committees will derive separate PG medical merit list.

  • This merit list will be used for admission to 50% state quota seats and all seats in private colleges.

50% All India Quota Rank

  • 50% All India Quota Rank list will have the list of candidates who have qualified the exam and are eligible for counselling of 50% All India Quota seats.

  • Candidates belonging to the state of Jammu and Kashmir will not be included in the NEET PG 2020 merit list.

Tie-Breaking Procedure in NEET PG 2020 Merit List

If two or more candidate scores are equal, then, the authority will determine the following tie-breaking mechanism:

  • If the candidates have less number of negative responses in Part A+B+C, then, such candidates will be placed at higher rank. 

  • Candidates with higher marks in Part C will be awarded higher mark.

  • Candidates with lesser number of responses in Part C will be given better rank.

  • Candidates who have higher marks in Part B of paper will be placed better rank.

  • Candidates who have lesser number of negative responses in Part B will be given better rank than others.

  • Candidates who have higher marks in Part A of NEET PG will be considered to be placed higher than remaining.

  • Candidates who have less negative answers in Part A of the online exam will be given better rank.

  • Candidates older in age will be awarded higher rank in order to break the tie.
