Arunachal Pradesh MBBS Admission 2020

Arunachal Pradesh Directorate of Higher Technical Education (APDHTE) is responsible for conducting admission process for MBBS course. APDHTE has the right to fill 85% MBBS seats under state merit quota. Even though the merit list of MBBS course in Arunachal Pradesh is out, APDHTE is yet to begin the counselling process for the same. The candidates have been eagerly waiting to get admission. The MBBS counselling process of Arunachal Pradesh begins with the submission of NEET-UG 2020 score.

Arunachal Pradesh MBBS Admission Eligibility Criteria 2020

Minimum Requirements: NEET-UG 2020 score is essential for MBBS admission in Arunachal Pradesh. Appearing for NEET-UG does not consider a candidate eligible for the admission. A candidate must score minimum qualifying marks prescribed by CBSE in NEET-UG to be considered for the admission. Apart from the NEET-UG score, the candidate must have passed Class 12 with at least 50% marks and Biology as a compulsory subject.

Domicile Rules: Candidates who passed Class 10 and Class 12 from Arunachal Pradesh are eligible for MBBS course in the state under 85% state merit quota. If the candidate’s parents are from Arunachal Pradesh and the candidate has studied abroad/ another state, he/ she will be also considered for the admission. However, the parents must have lived in Arunachal Pradesh for at least 15 years.

Age Criteria: Candidates with 17 years of age as on December 31, 2020, and 25 years of age as on May 07, 2020, are eligible for the admission to the MBBS course in Arunachal Pradesh.

Arunachal Pradesh MBBS Admission Application Process 2020

  • If the name of the candidate features in Arunachal Pradesh MBBS Merit List 2020, he/ she will be eligible to submit the online application for MBBS course.
  • The submission of the online application form can be done through the official website of Arunachal Pradesh Directorate of Higher Technical Education.
  • Fill all the details carefully while filling the application for MBBS course.
  • After submitting the online application form, it is mandatory to take the printout of the same.

Arunachal Pradesh MBBS Admission Counselling Process 2020

Verification of Documents: Candidates who have submitted the application form for MBBS course can attend the counselling process. The schedule and venue for Arunachal Pradesh MBBS counselling will be uploaded on the official website of APDHTE. The first stage in the counselling process is the verification of documents. Candidates must attend the counselling with the following documents: -

  • Printout of Application Form
  • NEET-UG 2020 Score Card
  • NEET-UG Admit Card 2020
  • Domicile Certificate (if applicable)
  • Caste/ Category Certificate (if applicable)
  • Class 10 Certificate
  • Class 12 Mark Sheet/ Certificate
  • Passport Size Photographs (at least 3)

Exercising Options: After the certificate verification process, the candidates will have to log in to the official website of APDHTE to fill the choices/ preferences form. It is advisable to choose as many colleges so that the chances of getting admission will be high. Fill out the choices and lock the options.

Arunachal Pradesh MBBS Admission Selection Process 2020

APDHTE will release a selection list/ seat allocation list, which features the name of the candidates, secured admission in MBBS course. The selection list will also have the name of the college in which candidates got admission. The selection is purely based on NEET-UG merit and previous academic record.

APDHTE will decide on the number of rounds of counselling to be conducted for MBBS course. If seats are vacant after the first round, APDHTE will proceed with the second round to fill the vacant seats in MBBS course. If seats are still vacant after two or three rounds of counselling, the vacant seats will be transferred to the respective colleges (only private/ deemed varsities).

Arunachal Pradesh MBBS Merit List 2020

APDHTE prepares the merit list based on the NEET-UG score. Candidates with highest marks in NEET-UG 2020 from Arunachal Pradesh will be placed on the top of the merit list. Candidates can check their NEET-UG marks, roll number, and category on the merit list.
