With the NMC Act 2019, this rule was fixed that students who hold foreign degrees and intend to practice in India after completion of their degree must qualify for the exam. As a result, every candidate has to pursue MBBS or BDS in India or abroad with Indian recognition, with a valid NEET score and certificate. This overall process standardised entry into the medical profession.

Can I Study MBBS Abroad Without NEET?

There are several colleges abroad that allow Indian students without a NEET score to take admission in MBBS. Some of those countries are Russia, Georgia, Ukraine, China, the Philippines, Kyrgyzstan, etc. These universities have their individual eligibility criteria, which include satisfying a minimum percentage in 12th grade PCB stream, proof of English proficiency (like IELTS or TOEFL), and other standard documentation such as a valid passport. Usually, in foreign countries, the MBBS program offers English medium instruction, lower fees, direct entry, and other such facilities.
