OTET 2019 answer key has been released. OTET answer key 2019 is the series of answers for the Paper 1 and 2 of the Teacher Eligibility Test.OTET Result 2019 will be declared on November 21st.

Board of Secondary Education, Odisha has released the OTET 2019 answer key in online mode. The Odisha TET answer key 2019 is the series of answers for the Paper 1 and 2 of the Teacher Eligibility Test.OTET 2019 notification was released according to which candidates had to apply online on the official website from July 15-July 26, 2019. Candidates had to pay the fee online till July 29, 2019 (till 4 pm). OTET (Orissa Teacher Eligibility Test) is conducted by Board of Secondary Education (BSE) Odisha for the recruitment of Class 1 to VIII teachers in government schools across the state. OTET 2019 was held on 5th August 2019 and the results of OTET 2019 will be released on November 21st.

However, OTET is merely a qualifying exam, and the candidates who clear OTET will get eligibility for Teacher Recruitment Test (TRT) conducted by the state government. On the other hand, qualifying OTET is also mandatory to work as a teacher for Class 1 to 8 in private schools across the state. OTET Results 2019: Live Updates

October 9 2019, 11:46 IST Once the objections filing process closes for OTET answer key, the final answer key will be prepared and the results will be calculated.

October 9 2019, 10:36 (IST): Students can raise objections against the OTET answer key if any latest by October 10.

OTET Answer Key 2019

OTET answer key 2019 has been released. Odisha has released the Odisha Teacher Eligibility Test 2019 answer key. Candidates can raise objections against the OTET answer key by providing appropriate representations latest by October 10, 2019. However, if the objections are raised through any other medium such as an email or in offline mode, they will not be accepted.

OTET Result 2019

OTET 2019 results are usually released within 30 – 45 days after the completion of the exam. The OTET results 2019 will be uploaded on the official website of BSE Odisha. The candidates must open the official website to check the results. In order to check the results, the candidates must enter the Hall Ticket Number/ Admit Card Number/ Application ID/ Date of Birth. The result will be displayed on a new page, and the candidates can download and take the printout of the OTET 2019 scorecard or result sheet. OTET 2019 results are expected to be out in the month of October 2019. Candidates who appeared for the exam will be able to check their OTET 2019 results on the website when they are released.

OTET 2019 Admit Card

Due to some technical glitches, the OTET Admit Card 2019 was not uploaded on the website on the scheduled date of 2nd August 2019. The release date of OTET admit card release date has been postponed to 3rd August 2019. The 2019 OTET admit card can be downloaded from the official OTET Site from 3rd August. The student will have to download the OTET 2019 admit card and take a print out of it. The portal where the OTET Admit Card will be released will remain open till 8th August 2019. The students are requested to download the admit card before the date of portal closure.

BSE Odisha will upload the admit card for OTET 2019 on its official website, and the candidates can download the same through the website. OTET 2019 admit card will contain all the details such as Name of the Candidate, Exam Centre Name, Date of Exam, Time of Exam, Paper applied for and important instructions. It is better if the candidates read the OTET important instructions carefully. If the candidates find any discrepancies in the OTET 2019 admit card, they can inform the concerned authority as early as possible.

About OTET Exam

OTET is conducted to determine the eligibility of qualified B.Ed/ D.EI.Ed/ B.EI.Ed candidates for the position of teacher in government and private schools across the state. Candidates aspiring to become government teachers must clear OTET followed by Teacher Recruitment Test conducted by the Government of Odisha. OTET is divided into Paper I and Paper II, and the eligibility conditions for both papers are different. BSE Odisha is expected to give clarity on the exact date of the OTET 2019 exam, admit card and result dates in the official OTET 2019 notification or information broacher. Eligibility Criteria for OTET 2019

As mentioned above, OTET 2019 is divided into Paper I and Paper II. Paper I of OTET 2019 exam is applicable for primary school teachers while Paper II of OTET is applicable for Class VI to VIII teachers. The eligibility criteria for both papers are different. More details are elaborated below.

OTET qualification of primary teachers – Paper I (Category A)

  • Class 12 with 50% of marks
  • The applicants must have D.EI.Ed or B.EI.Ed with at least 50% of marks.
  • As per the new NCTE rules, B.Ed graduates are also eligible for primary teacher posts. Therefore, B.Ed graduates with at least 50% of marks can apply for OTET Paper I exam.
  • For reserved category candidates, there will be 5% relaxation in the marks.

OTET qualification for Class 6 to 8 Teachers – Paper II (Category B)

  • The applicant must be a B.Sc, B.Com, B.A, B.E/B.Tech graduate with at least 50% of marks.
  • The applicant must have B.Ed degree with at least 50% of marks.
  • Candidates who have completed integrated B.A. B.Ed or B.Sc B.Ed are also eligible to apply.

OTET Application Form 2019 - Apply Online

BSE Odisha accepts only an online application form for the OTET 2019 exam. The online application process for OTET 2019 began on July 15, 2019. Eligible and interested candidates must visit the official website of Board of Secondary Education (BSE) Odisha to register for the OTET 2019 exam.

Candidates willing to apply for both Paper I and Paper II must pay Rs. 1,000 (Reserved categories – Rs. 600).

Documents Required for OTET Application Form 2019

Mostly, the candidates need to submit limited documents along with the OTET 2019 application form. All that the candidates need to upload is a scanned copy of passport size photograph and signature. The signature must be in black ink, and the passport size photo must have a plain background.

How to Fill OTET Application Form 2019?

The OTET 2019 online application form filling involves different stages, and there is no confusion or hassle involved in the OTET 2019 online application process. The detailed application process of OTET 2019 can be checked below –

  • The official link to submit the OTET 2019 application form will be active on BSE Odisha website from July 15, 2019
  • On the official website of BSE Odisha, the candidates must click on the tab ‘Examinations’ and select ‘OTET’.
  • A new page will open where the candidates must complete pre-registration.
  • During the pre-registration, the applications must enter personal details, paper applying for, Aadhaar number, mobile number, e-mail ID, etc.
  • The login credentials will be sent to the mobile number or e-mail of the candidate.
  • Now, login and submit the online application form.
  • Upload scanned copies of passport size photo and signature (signed with black ink only).
  • Pay the OTET 2019 application fee and submit the application.
  • Take the printout of the OTET 2019 filled-in application form and preserve it for future reference.

OTET Application Form Process for 2018 Applied Candidates

The candidates whose roll numbers had been generated earlier for the OTET 2018 exam will have to fill the online application form again for appearing for OTET 2019 without paying the requisite fee. These candidates will have to log in with their previously generated roll number for OTET 2018 and the date of birth. They will not be considered eligible to appear for OTET 2019 if they don't apply online.

OTET Online Exam Procedure 2019

Candidates have to apply online on the official website of BSE Odisha. They will need to register by entering their personal details, upload a scanned photo and signature, and further add more details about their educational qualifications. Candidate can see the 'Preview of the filled Application' and then save and submit. After submitting the form successfully, candidates can take out a print and pay online. Exam fees for all categories would be Rs. 500 plus service charge and Rs.300 plus service charges as applicable for SC and ST candidates only. To check the “payment status”, the candidate will have to login after 2 days of fee payment. If the payment has not been reflected in the registration system, the candidate can send an email on otet1819@gmail.com to enquire about the payment status.

All the questions in the exam are Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ)-based, and there is no negative marking.

OTET Syllabus for Paper I & Paper II

Selection Procedure of OTET 2019

There is no specific selection procedure for the OTET 2019 exam, as it does not involve any recruitment process. OTET is merely a qualifying exam. The candidates must clear the cutoff prescribed by BSE Odisha to clear the OTET 2019 exam. The OTET cutoff details 2019 is given below –

Only those candidates who clear the cutoff of OTET will be declared qualified in OTET 2018 exam. At least 20% of marks scored in OTET will have weightage in Teacher Recruitment Process (TRT).

The Validity of OTET 2019 Certificate

OTET certificate is valid for a period of five years from the date of the announcement of OTET results. The candidates can also appear for the subsequent OTET exam to improve their score. The candidates must preserve the OTET certificate issued by BSE Odisha, as the certificate is mandatory for Teacher Recruitment Test (TRT).

OTET 2018 Exam Cancelled - OTET 2018 Question Paper Leak

Board of Secondary Education (BSE) Odisha had cancelled the OTET 2018 exam due to the question paper leak. The officials of BSE have confirmed that the OTET 2018 exam has been cancelled, as the OTET 2018 question paper went viral on social media a day before the exam day. Many students complained that the question paper that was leaked on social media matched the OTET 2018 exam paper on January 16, 2019. The officials of BSE has initiated an investigation into the OTET 2018 question paper leak. The re-exam date of OTET 2018 will be released shortly.
