What is NEET 2024 Cutoff Maharashtra?

Maharashtra NEET 2024 cutoff refers to the last rank and corresponding scores at which a candidate is granted admission to a particular college and course. Based on the marks obtained in the NEET UG 2024 Exam, the State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra, will allocate ranks to candidates for admission in MBBS or BDS courses.

Candidates who have scored well in the NEET 2024 exam are eligible to make it to the top medical colleges in Maharashtra through 15% All India Quota or 85% State Quota. The MBBS admission process in Maharashtra consists of a NEET Seat Allotment 2024 and NEET 2024 Counselling Process.

Factors Determining NEET 2024 Cutoff for Maharashtra

The NEET 2024 cutoff for Maharashtra varies from one year to another. Therefore, one cannot expect the cutoff to be the same every year. The factors determining the NEET Cutoff trends every year are as follows:
  • Difficulty Level: If the difficulty level of NEET 2024 is high, the Maharashtra NEET Cutoff 2024 will be lower. This is done to ensure fairness in the entrance examination.
  • Total number of Students Registered and Appeared: The total number of test takers and how they performed in the NEET UG also impact the cutoff scores. If students collectively perform well, the cutoff marks will be higher.
  • Reservation Policy: NEET 2024 reservation policy impacts the Maharashtra NEET Cutoff, as there are reserved seats for SC/ST/OBC and PH students.
  • Seat Matrix: The number of seats available for MBBS in Maharashtra creates the most impact on the NEET cutoff. If the number of MBBS seats is less, the Maharashtra NEET Cutoff 2024 will be higher.

Types of NEET 2024 Cutoff for Maharashtra

Admission to MBBS and BDS courses in Maharashtra is conducted under a 15% All India Quota (AIQ) and an 85% State Quota seat matrix. The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) conducts the following admission and releases the Maharashtra NEET Cutoff each year for 15% AIQ seats. While DMER takes on the admission procedure for 85% of State quota seats. Check the Maharashtra NEET 2024 Cutoff for 15% AIQ and 85% State quota below:

Maharashtra NEET Cutoff 2024: 15% AIQ

MCC will release the Maharashtra NEET Cutoff 2024 for 15% AIQ seats after each round of NEET Counselling 2024 and seat allotment. The candidate’s All India Rank, NEET score, and last rank at which admission is granted will be mentioned in the NEET Maharashtra cutoff. The cutoff will be different for each of the categories (Gen/EWS/PwD/SC/ST/OBC).

Maharashtra NEET Cutoff 2024: 85% State Quota

DMER will release the NEET Maharashtra 2024 Cutoff for 85% of seats under the state quota. There are approximately 9,000 MBBS and 3,526 BDS seats under the 85% State quota. Of these, 70% of seats were reserved under the regional quota while the remaining 30% came under the State quota. However, the above-mentioned regional and state quotas have been scrapped from the 2020 session onwards.

The NEET Cutoff 2024 Maharashtra will include the last ranks for categories as per constitutional reservation. These categories include Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Caste converts to Buddhism (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Vimukta Jati, Nomadic Tribes (NT - 1/2/3), Other Backward Classes, and Economically Weaker Sections.

Dear Student, For admission to the BVSc at GB Pant University of Agriculture and Technology Pantnagar, the expected ranks vary by category. If you're a general category candidate, aim for a rank within 500 to 1000. For OBC candidates, the range is 600 to 1200. SC candidates should ideally secure a rank between 1500 and 2000, and for ST candidates, the rank should be between 2700 and 3200. As the actual cutoff ranks can vary each year, striving for a high rank in the entrance exam conducted by the university will increase your chances of admission. Best of luck!
