Is MAH MBA CET 2026 Mandatory for MBA in Maharashtra?

If you are wondering, “ Is MAH MBA CET 2026 mandatory for MBA in Maharashtra? ”, the answer is no. The MAH MBA CET 2026 is a state-level entrance exam conducted by the State CET Cell, Maharashtra, for admission to MBA, MMS, and other management programs offered by government, aided, and unaided institutes across the state.

While many colleges affiliated with Maharashtra state universities primarily accept MAH MBA CET scores, it is not the only pathway to MBA admission. Candidates with valid scores in national-level exams such as CAT, CMAT, XAT, MAT, ATMA, or GMAT are also eligible to apply for admission in Maharashtra B-schools.

Admissions are conducted through the Centralised Admission Process (CAP) managed by the CET Cell, where candidates from both the MAH MBA CET and other accepted exams can participate. However, a significant number of seats in government and top MMS colleges are allotted based on MAH MBA CET performance. Therefore, although the MAH MBA CET is not compulsory, it remains one of the most important and widely accepted exams for admissions to top MBA colleges in Maharashtra.
