Wondering ‘Is 90-95 Percentile in MAH MBA CET 2025 Enough for Good Colleges?’ Well, it is not that great a score for Tier 1 colleges, but it makes you eligible for MBA/MMS admission to colleges like N. L. Dalmia, XIMR Mumbai, Alkesh Dinesh Mody Institute, Indira Global School of Business, etc. among others.
Is 90-95 Percentile in MAH MBA CET 2025 Enough for Good Colleges?

Is 90-95 Percentile in MAH MBA CET 2025 Enough for Good Colleges: Although a 90-95 percentile in MAH MBA CET 2025 can be regarded as a good score, it is not enough for prestigious and Tier 1 colleges in Maharashtra like JBIMS, SIMSREE, KJ Somaiya, PUMBA Pune, WeSchool Mumbai, where the cutoffs are extremely high, above 96 percentile. However, a 90-95 percentile should suffice for MBA/ MMS admission to Tier 2 colleges like NL Dalmia, XIMR Mumbai, Indira Global School of Business, Dr. D. Y. Patil Institute of Management & Research, St. Francis Institute of Management & Research, etc., among others. Also, since no WAD/GD/PI is conducted by CET-accepting colleges, your MAH MBA CET 2025 score will be the sole determining factor governing your admission to your desired college. Find the colleges you can target with 90-95 percentile in MAH MBA CET 2025 and the CET scores accepted by top colleges in Maharashtra here.

Is 90-95 Percentile in MAH MBA CET 2025 Enough for Good Colleges?

There is fierce competition for admission to MBA/MMS courses offered by Tier 1 colleges like JBIMS, SIMSREE, K J Somaiya, PUMBA, and Welingkar. The competition gets aggressive and brutal due to limited student intake by these institutes, especially in the All India Category (AI), and the MAH CET cutoffs can go as high as 99.95 percentile for JBIMS, 98.5+ percentile for SIMSREE, 99.67 percentile for PUMBA Pune, and 99.6+ percentile for Welingkar, etc. among others. Hence, a 90-95 percentile places you behind thousands of other test-takers obtaining the minimum scores required to seek admission to the top colleges.

More than 1.3 to 1.4 lakh candidates appear for the MAH CET exam every year. A 95 percentile places you among the top 5,000-6,000 candidates, and a 90 percentile fetches you a position among the top 12,000-13,000 candidates taking the MAH MBA CET exam. JBIMS offers 150 seats, SIMSREE offers 180 seats, PUMBA offers 180 seats, and Welingkar accepts 120 students for MMS and 600 students for PGDM full-time. You need to obtain a rank between the top 500-1500 for the elite colleges. Hence, a 90-95 percentile in MAH MBA CET 2025 will not fetch you the rank required for seeking MBA admission to the top colleges. Apart from that, most top colleges allot a significant number of seats to the reserved category, MAH state quota, and minority or institutional quota candidates, leaving very few seats for open/ general or All India candidates.

Unlike the institutes offering MBA admission through CAT, the MAH CET accepting institutes do not conduct group discussions or personal interviews, and the shortlisting of candidates solely depends on their CET scores. With no second chance to prove their competence, candidates’ fate is exclusively dependent on their MAH MBA CET scores.

No, an entrance exam is not always mandatory for MBA admission at Doon Business School. As they also consider direct admission based on graduation scores and interviews. However having scores from CAT, XAT or MAT can strengthen your application. For more details on your MBA admissions and other courses, you can visit GoEdu.
