MAH CET 2020 Counselling

MAH MBA CET 2020 CAP Round 2 is being conducted as per the revised schedule released by the State Common Entrance Test Cell Maharashtra. The provisional vacant seats for CAP Round 2 were declared on January 21 and the online submission and confirmation of option form stayed open till January 23 thereafter. Candidates are currently awaiting the provisional seat allotment results of MAH MBA CET 2020 CAP Round 2, which will be declared on January 27, 2021. DTE (Directorate of Medical Education), Maharashtra is responsible for conducting the MAH CET Counselling process 2020. After declaring the result of  MAH CET 2020, counselling and seat allotment is carried out through a Centralized Allotment Process (CAP). To participate in the counselling process of MAH CET 2020, the registration process for MAH CET 2020 counselling is done which is conducted through the online medium for all the candidates who have successfully qualified in MAH CET 2020 examination. The counselling process for MAH CET 2020 is done on the basis of the candidate’s score in the entrance exam.

The counselling for MAH CET 2020 is conducted in several rounds for the candidates. On the basis of the number of vacant seats left at the end of each round, seat allotment is done for the candidates. The allotment of seats and admission in various colleges of Maharashtra is done by Centralised Admission Process (CAP) on the basis of the merit list and the options filled by the candidates during the online admission form. The Centralised Admission Process( CAP) is conducted in three rounds for confirming and allotting the seats of the candidates. It must be noted by the candidates that no allotment letter is sent to the candidates in this regard.

MAH CET 2020 is a state-level entrance exam examination that is in online mode. All the shortlisted candidates on the basis of MAH CET 2020 cutoff score are eligible to participate in MAH CET counselling at one of the counselling centres.     MAH CET 2020 Counselling Procedure

    Selection for admission into various undergraduate engineering courses is done on the basis of the rank secured in the merit list of MAH CET 2020. It is important for the candidates to know that the procedure followed for the MAH CET 2020 counselling will remain the same for all the CAP rounds. Check out the procedure that will be carried out during the CAP process.

    Registration Process:

    • Candidates need to fill in the online application form for registering in the CAP counselling.

    • Registration for CAP includes filling in the right information and submitting correct documents.

    • Candidates are also allowed to fill their desired courses and institutions at the time of filling the CAP counselling form.

    Document Verification:

    • Candidates must carry all the original documents at the counselling venue.

    • Carry a set of photocopies off all the relevant documents.

    • After the document verification, shortlisted candidates will move for the next procedure initiated by the concerned authority.

    Choice Filling and Seat Allotment:

    • Choice filling and seat allotment are initially forwarded on the choices made by the candidates during the form filling process.

    • Availability of seat and institutions also plays an important role in the final locking.

    • However, the final decision will rest in the hands of the DTE.

    Fee Submission:

    • Candidates need to pay the counselling fee at the time form submission.

    • Payment will be made through online transaction only.

    • The counselling fee paid by the candidates will be a non-refundable amount.

    • Candidates falling in the general category including candidates from Maharashtra and outside Maharashtra need to Rs 2,000. Whereas, Rs 1,800 is the counselling fee for the candidates in the reserved category.

    Documents Required to be Produced at the Time of MAH CET Counselling

    Following are the documents that candidates will be required to provide for the verification for MAH CET 2020 counselling process. Candidates must note that they will be required to produce the original certificates/documents along with their photocopies:

    What is MAH CET CAP?

    Conducted by the State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra for admission into MBA/MMS programmes, the Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MAH CET) CAP is a Centralised Admission Process which is offered by the state institutes. The MAH CET CAP which is also referred to as counselling, is conducted for the candidates willing to take admission to one of the top management institutes including K J Somaiya Institute of Management Studies & Research, JBIMS, SIMSREE, PUMBA etc.

    How Can Candidates Register for the MAH CET Counselling 2020?

    For participating in the MAH CET 2020 counselling process, the candidates will be required to register and create an account on the official website. By following the steps given below, candidates can register themselves for the counselling process:

    Step 1: Open the official website of  MAH CET. 

    Step 2: After visiting the website, candidates will have to click on new user and enter their Name, E-mail ID, Date of Birth, and Phone number.

    Step 3: Candidates must note that a unique ID (application ID) will be generated and sent to them in E-mail.

    Step 4: Candidates can this unique ID in order to login on the website and authenticate registration.

    Important Points to Remember in MAH CET CAP Registration 2020

    • Once the candidate is allotted the seat as per his/her first preference, he/she will have to accept that allotment. Participation in subsequent CAP rounds will not be allowed.

    • Candidates are allowed to fill in minimum 1 and maximum 300 choices of Institutes and Courses.

    • After confirmation of Option form, no changes will be allowed.

    • The candidates will be allowed to edit only certain sections in the CAP form at the time of scrutiny of documents. 

    • ‘The Seat Acceptance Fee (non-refundable) shall be Rs. 1,000 for all admitted candidates.

    Which Details Can Candidates Edit in the CAP (Centralised Admission Process) Form

    Following are the details which candidates can edit in CAP form:

    • Change of gender

    • MAH CET score (change in merit number due to increase in marks will not be allowed)

    • Change in Qualification

    • Change in caste category: The candidates will be allowed to change caste/sub-caste/the category of backward class but change from General to Reserved Category is not permitted. However, a reserved category candidate will be allowed to change his/her category from Reserved to General upon his failure to submit requisite documents

    • Change in Type of Candidature

    • Change in Home University

    • Removal of Reserved category status like Minority, Disability, Defence, etc. in view of failure of submission of supporting documents

    • Removal of Tuition Fee Waiver Seats (TFWS) in case of failure of submission of supporting documents

    What is the Eligibility Criteria to Participate in MAH CET CAP?

    In order to participate in the MAH CET CAP, candidates must make it a point that they fulfill the requisite eligibility criteria of the counselling process of MAH CET. For each category of the candidates, there is a specific eligibility criteria. The MAH CET CAP admission will be done for:

    • Maharashtra State Candidature

    • All India Candidature

    • The candidate must have passed 3-year Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent with at least 50% marks in aggregate from a recognized university.

     

    Maharashtra State Candidature

    • The candidate should be an Indian National.

    • The candidate must have obtained more than zero score in MAH CET 2019.

    • The candidate must have passed 3-year Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent with at least 50% marks in aggregate from a recognized university (at least 45% in case of candidates belonging to backward class categories and Persons with Disability belonging to Maharashtra State only).

    NRI/OCI/PIO Foreign National, Children of Indian workers in the Gulf countries

    • The candidate should have passed at least three year duration Bachelor’s Degree with 50% marks or equivalent, awarded by the University recognized by University Grants Commission or Association of Indian Universities.

    • Any other criterion declared from time to time by the State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra as defined under the Act.

    Yes, since completing an undergraduate course makes you eligible for the MBA course, your UG mark sheet would be considered valid for admission in MAH MBA CET.

    However, if you have specified your qualification as postgraduate in the MAH CET application form, it might cause some issues. You should contact the exam conducting authorities with your details and follow the instructions provided by them.
