MAH MBA CET 2023 Score Normalization

For the purpose of comparing candidate scores across multi-shift papers, the examination conducting body uses the MAH MBA CET score normalization process, which is an established procedure. The MAH CET score normalization procedure is comparable to those used in other Indian MBA entrance exams.

The MAH MBA CET is divided into numerous sessions (three days, two sessions), so the examination authority does not just compile the candidates' scores based on the sum of their correct and incorrect answers when preparing the merit list. To ensure that all MAH MBA CET candidates are graded on the same scale, the examination body uses a method called score normalization.

This is done because it is possible for one session of a multi-session exam to be slightly easier or harder than another. The MAH CET score normalization process makes sure that no candidate is in a favorable or unfavorable position when the MAH MBA CET 2023 result and merit list are being prepared.

In MAH CET MBA/MMS, instead of the raw scores of the candidates, it is the percentile score that will be the Normalised Score. The MAH MBA CET Percentile Scores will be calculated up to seven decimal places. The formula for Percentile score calculation is:

100 x (No. of candidates in a session with raw score ≤  the candidate’s score)
Total number of candidates in the session
