Factors Affecting TANCET MBA 2021 Cutoff

Since each college accepting admissions based on TANCET MBA 2021 Score has an approved seat intake that it cannot cross, only a limited number of candidates can be shortlisted for admission by the college. Hence, the college has to determine the cutoff which will allows them to shortlist the correct number of candidates. This forms the core of determining the cutoff. However, there are a number of additional factors as well that have an influence on whether the cutoff will be high or low. These have been explained below.

  • Seat Intake: The number of seats available in a course is a primary factor that determines the cutoff for that course. If the number of seats is higher, more candidates can be accommodated and hence the cutoff will be lower.

  • Number of Applicants: The number of applicants is another primary influencer of the TANCET MBA 2021 Cutoff. In case a large number of candidates have applied for a course as compared to the available seats, the cutoff will consequently also be higher.

  • Category of Reservation: Since the cutoff for seats reserved under various categories is calculated independently from each other, all of these have a different cutoff. The cutoff for General or Open category seats is higher than that of seats reserved for SC/ ST/ OBC candidates.

  • Difficulty Level of the Question Paper: The difficulty level of the TANCET MBA Question Paper can directly influence the cutoff for the exam. If the paper proves to be more difficult, then the average score of the candidates will drop and so will the cutoff.

  • No. of Candidates Appearing for the Exam: If a higher number of candidates appear for the exam, chances are that the cutoff will increase due to the increase in competition. However, it will depend on the competence of the candidates.

Dear Student,

Panjab University Management Entrance Test (PU MET) 2021 has been postponed by the university. As per the revised PU MET schedule available on the official website, the applications form for the test can now be submitted till June 5 and the test itself will be conducted on June 19, 2021. It appears that the Panjab University has provided sufficient buffer time for the test to be conducted keeping the current situation in mind. However, depending on how things proceed, keep an open mind for the exam being postponed further.

Thank you.
