TANCET MBA 2026 Eligibility Criteria

To apply for the TANCET 2026 MBA, the candidates need to meet the eligibility criteria for the same. It is only then that the candidates will be allowed to appear in the entrance test. Listed below are the eligibility criteria for TANCET 2026.

Age Limit

  • Candidates should be at least 18 years of age to appear for the entrance test. There is no upper age limit for TANCET 2026.

Education Qualification

  • Candidates must have a bachelor's degree or equivalent from a recognised university in the relevant field with a minimum of 50% (general category candidates) or 45% aggregate marks (reserved category candidates).

  • Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in one of the following categories:

  • Candidates who are in the final semester of the qualifying degree may also apply for TANCET MBA 2026.

  • Other candidates of Tamil Nadu may also appear in the exam, but the eligibility criteria will be specified by the admission officers.

Note: The following candidates are not eligible for TANCET 2026 :

  • Candidates who have obtained their BE/BTech degree through distance learning.
  • Candidates with a degree obtained without studying classes 10th, 12th, or a 3-year degree program.
  • Candidates with lateral entry admissions in all courses except BTech/ BE and MCA.
  • Candidates who are in the final year of professional courses, such as AMIE.

TANCET MBA 2026 Application Process

  • Step 2: Log in using your credentials and upload your community certificate if eligible for a fee concession; otherwise, pay the full amount.​
  • Step 3: Complete personal, academic, and exam centre details accurately, including photo (JPG, 300x200 pixels, up to 50KB) and signature (JPG, 70x200 pixels, up to 11KB).
  • Step 4: Proceed to online payment via net banking, card, or UPI after form preview.​
  • Step 5: Review all entries, submit the form, and download the printout for records; check the status if issues arise.​
