Telangana State Post Graduate Engineering Common Entrance Test (TS PGCET) is a popular entrance examination conducted every year at the state level to grant admission to eligible candidates to postgraduate engineering courses in the participating colleges in Telangana. The TS PGECET 2023 exam was conducted from May 29 to June 1, 2023. 

TS M. Tech Counselling Through GATE 2023

TSCHE conducts the counselling process for TS PGECET separately for TS PGECET and GATE candidates through the online portal. Candidates having a high score and rank in GATE 2023 are eligible for admission to the top M. Tech colleges in Telangana. Therefore, students must keep their GATE 2023 Rank card safe and ready till the end of the admission process. Following the first round of counselling and seat allotment, the remaining seats are offered to those qualifying for the Telangana PG ECET exam.

TS M. Tech Counselling 2023 Through GATE: Registration, Choice-Filling, Fee Payment

The counselling for Telangana M. Tech admission 2023 through GATE is being conducted online. The procedure comprises several steps, starting from online registration and fee payment to document verification, choice-filling and locking, seat allotment, and finally, reporting to the allocated college. 

To help candidates become familiar with TS PGECET 2023 counselling, here we have a breakdown of the detailed process:

Step 1 – Online Registration and Fee Payment

The first step of the TS M. Tech 2023 counselling is the online registration of candidates. Students shortlisted on the basis of their TS PGECET or GATE 2023 ranks must visit the official counselling website and register by paying the required fee amount. For General candidates, the payable amount is INR 600/- while that for SC/ST candidates is INR 300/-. Candidates can make the payment using any online payment gateway, such as Net Banking, Credit card, or Debit card. They must keep the transaction receipt safe for future reference. 

Step 2 – Application Form Fill-up

Successfully registered candidates can proceed to fill out the application form with their personal, academic and communication details. After filling out the form, they must upload a scanned passport-sized photograph and signature in the prescribed format along with the GATE 2023 hall ticket before the final submission. Candidates are advised to download a copy of the application form for the record. 

Step 3 - Document Verification

The next step involves document verification, for which registered candidates will need to visit the TS PGECET counselling 2023 help centres. They must ensure to carry the following set of documents and certificates for verification:

• GATE 2023 Scorecard

• Marksheets and Degree/Provisional Certificate of the qualifying examination

• Marksheets of Classes 10 & 12

• Certificate of SSC or equivalent examination

• Income Certificate issued after January 1, 2023

• Domicile/Residential Certificate

• Aadhaar card as valid ID proof

• Category Certificate issued by a competent authority (if applicable)

Step 4 - Choice Filling

Following the document verification process, candidates must fill in their preferred colleges and courses for M. Tech admission 2023. Candidates are instructed to enter the names in order of preference since it will be taken into account at the time of seat allocation.

Step 5 - Seat Allotment

The authorities will conduct the TS PGECET 2023 seat allotment process in two rounds after taking into consideration the ranks of the candidates, the choices filled in by them, and the availability of seats in the respective participating colleges. The details of the seat allotment will be announced in due time. Once the allocation is done, candidates will have to report to the allotted institutes for admission.
