Candidates will be allotted seats across the colleges of Uttar Pradesh based upon their performance in the JEECUP 2023 exam and their preference of institutes and courses provided during the JEECUP choice filling 2023. Only candidates who have registered successfully for the JEECUP counselling 2023 and participated in the choice-filling process are eligible for admission across the JEECUP participating colleges 2023.

What is JEECUP Seat Allotment 2023?
The Joint Entrance Examination Council, Uttar Pradesh allots seats to eligible candidates who have cleared the JEECUP exam and participated in the JEECUP counselling process for admission into various polytechnic and diploma courses provided across the colleges of Uttar Pradesh. Candidates are allotted seats on the basis of their merit in the JEECUP 2023 exam, the choices filled by them and the availability of seats at the participating institutes.
The JEECUP counselling process is conducted across multiple rounds. The selection of the candidates will be determined by their qualifications, category, selected preferences and the availability of seats. Candidates are required to download the seat allotment letter and report to the allotted institute to complete the admission process.
How to Check JEECUP Seat Allotment 2023?
Candidates should follow the steps mentioned below to access their JEECUP 2023 seat allotment results.
- Visit the official website of the JEECUP 2023 exam - jeecup.admissions.nic.in
- Click on the link available for “JEECUP Seat Allotment Result 2023” on the website
- Provide your JEECUP 2023 application number, password and security pin in the respective boxes
- The JEECUP seat allotment 2023 result will be displayed on the device screen
- Check all the details in the seat allotment letter and download a copy of the same for future use
Options Available after JEECUP Seat Allotment 2023
Candidates who are allotted seats via JEECUP 2023 seat allotment will be provided with two options namely - Freeze and Float. Both these options have been explained below.
- Freeze - Candidates who are satisfied with the seats allotted to them and wish to move ahead with the further admission process should opt for this option. Such candidates will not be permitted to participate in further rounds of counselling and seat allotment.
- Float - Candidates who are not satisfied with the seats allocated to them and seek better allotment in the further rounds of seat allotment are required to select this option. In this scenario, if the candidates are not allotted better seats in the further round, they can get admission as per their previously allotted seats whereas, if they are allotted better seats, their previously allotted seats get terminated automatically.

Acceptance of Seat
If candidates are satisfied with the seats allotted to them, they should select the freeze option and accept the seat. Such candidates will be officially out of the subsequent counselling process and will be provided admission into the allotted institute after the payment of the requisite fee and document verification. The seat allotment letter must be downloaded for future use.
Payment of Seat Acceptance Fee
After candidates have accepted the seats allotted to them, they are required to pay the seat acceptance fee. Candidates can pay the seat acceptance fee via any of the modes of Debit Card/ Credit Card/Net banking at their convenience.
Reporting And Document Verification
Candidates are required to report to any of the JEECUP Reporting Centres within the specified date for document verification failing which the seats allotted to them will be forfeited. Candidates have to carry the provisional seat allotment letter, proof of fee payment and the relevant documents at the time of reporting
Note: In case the allotted seat gets cancelled for a candidate after document verification, such a candidate will be moved to the further round or she/he can become ineligible to participate in the further seat allotment rounds.

Candidates who are allotted seats via JEECUP 2023 seat allotment must be careful that they don’t miss out on the opportunity to secure admission into the JEECUP participating colleges 2023. We have listed down a few errors that candidates must avoid at any cost during the seat allotment procedure.
Do not delay the seat acceptance fee payment
After the JEECUP seat allotment 2023 is released, candidates are required to report online and pay the requisite seat acceptance fee. In case candidates miss out on paying the seat acceptance fee, their allotted seat will get cancelled and such candidates will be disqualified from participating in the further seat allotment rounds.
Do not select the incorrect seat acceptance option
Candidates must ensure that they select the option best suited to them from the available choices - freeze and float provided during the seat acceptance of JEECUP 2023 seat allotment so that the admission process goes on smoothly. Selecting an incorrect option may lead to the losing of a desired institute or stream of the candidates
Do not wait for the last moment to arrange documents
The seats allocated to the candidates will be cancelled if they provide invalid certificates while reporting. Hence, it is advisable for the candidates to avoid waiting till the very last minute to get the necessary documents arranged for verification. Unavailability of any crucial document will lead to the cancellation of the allotted seat.
Do not change your registered mobile number or email address
Candidates must be aware of their registered mobile number and email address of the JEECUP 2023 exam. In case candidates don’t have their registered mobile number and email id with them during the seat allotment process, their allotted seats can be cancelled.
Do not share your login credentials
Changes done via the candidate portal are the sole responsibility of the candidates. Candidates are advised not to disclose their login credentials to anybody to avoid any unforeseen problems.
