FAQs

What if I miss my TGICET counselling slot due to unavoidable reasons?

If you miss your slot, you may be allowed to attend a later slot in the same phase—only if valid reasons and seats are available. You must contact the nearest helpline center or TSICET support immediately. Missing both slot and document verification may push you to participate only in Phase 2 counselling.

Is it possible to modify college choices after submitting the TGICET option entry form?

Yes, candidates are usually given a limited window called the “Option Freezing or Editing Period” before final allotment. You can rearrange, delete, or add college preferences during this time. Be cautious—after this period ends, no further changes are allowed and allotments will be based on your locked choices.

Can I participate in TGICET counselling if I have a compartment in my final year?

No, candidates must have passed all qualifying degree subjects by the time of document verification. Those with backlogs or compartments are not eligible for final seat allotment. However, if results are expected soon, provisional participation might be allowed temporarily—but final admission depends on clearing all backlogs.

Are there any reservation policies applicable during TGICET 2025 counselling?

Yes, Telangana follows a reservation policy as per state government norms. Categories like SC, ST, BC-A to E, EWS, NCC, PH, and Sports are eligible for seat reservations. These reservations impact both seat allotment and tuition fee concessions. Candidates must submit valid caste and category certificates during document verification.

What are the different types of MBA and MCA specializations offered under TGICET 2025 admissions?

MBA programs may include specializations like Marketing, Finance, HR, Operations, and IT. MCA programs focus on software development, networking, AI, and data science. Availability depends on the college. During option entry, make sure to check the list of courses each institution offers along with seat availability and faculty reputation.
