TS ICET 2018 Counselling Process

The Telangana State Integrated Common Entrance Test (TS ICET) 2018 Counselling Process is conducted online for all the qualified candidates for admissions in the MBA and MCA courses. The state-level exam is conducted by Kakatiya University, Warangal on behalf of TSCHE, Hyderabad. 

Based on the centralised counselling and entrance exam, candidates will be able to join the state universities or colleges. As part of the process, qualified candidates are invited and allotted seats based on their ranks. During the counselling process, candidates get the option to choose the college and course where they want to study. 

As per the counselling schedule, the candidates have to register, get their documents verified, as well as exercise their option of locking the college and course. Those who are not able to fulfill any of these requirements are not considered for admission.

Detailed Counselling Procedure of TS ICET 2018

Step 1: Document Verification

To participate in the counselling process of TS ICET 2018, qualified candidates are required to attend the document verification in person at the help centers prescribed by the TS ICET 2018 exam authority. To complete the verification process, candidates have to bring the following documents (in original and photocopy) to the counselling center:

  • Aadhaar Card

  • TS ICET 2018 Rank Card

  • TS ICET 2018 Hall Ticket

  • IX to Degree Study Certificates

  • Degree marks memos & pass certificate

  • Intermediate or its equivalent Memo-cum-Pass Certificate

  • SSC or its equivalent Marks memo

  • Physically Challenged (PH)/ National Cadet Corps (NCC)/ Children of Armed Forces Personnel (CAP)/ Sports and Games/ Minority certificate, if applicable.

  • Transfer Certificate (TC)

  • Income Certificate issued on or after January 1, 2018, by competent authority, if applicable. Caste Certificate issued by competent authority, if applicable.

  • Residence certificate of either of parents in Telangana for a period of 10 years in case of Non-local candidates.

  • It is mandatory for the candidates to attend the certificate verification process and the Aadhaar Details (fingerprint Biometric) will be verified with the UIDAI at the Help Line Centres.

  • PH (Physically Handicapped), CAP (Children of Armed Personnel), Anglo- Indian, Sports & Games, NCC (National Cadet Corps) should attend for Certificate Verification only at Sankethika Vidya Bhavan, Masab Tank, Hyderabad, as per the dates are given in the Schedule.

  • Residence certificate of candidates for a period of 7 years preceding to qualifying examination in case where the candidate has no institutionalised education.

Stage 2: Freezing (Locking) of College Options

The next step of the counselling process is online web option entry. In this step, candidates have to select colleges where they wish to join. For this, candidates have to generate a password and login with the help of login ID, hall ticket number, password and date of birth. Next, candidates have to fill their choices and save the options entered. There is also a provision to modify the choices entered. After entering the final choices, the candidates must freeze or lock their choices before the deadline.

Stage 3: Seat Allotment

The seat allotment for the candidates is done on the basis of merit, category, gender, local area and special reservation. Candidates have to enter the login ID number, hall ticket number, password and date of birth to download the allotment order.

Stage 4: Fee payment and Self-Reporting

To complete the process of counselling, candidates have to pay the requisite fee. Once the fee is paid, candidates must remember to obtain a receipt as proof of fee payment. Additionally, candidates are required to report to the respective colleges within the stipulated time and carry the allotment order, fee receipt and other important documents, failing which the allotment made in favour of the candidate will be liable for cancellation.
