Will the Deleted Syllabus Come in NEET 2025? -There is a very slim chance of questions appearing in the NEET UG exam from the NEET deleted syllabus topics. Currently, no official notification has been released by the NTA authorities but it is speculated that there will be changes in the NEET syllabus 2025. If any changes are made then the NEET 2025 syllabus PDF by NTA will not include the deleted topics. The exam will consist of two sections namely sections A and B and there will be 200 MCQ questions. Previously, there were changes made in the physics, chemistry and biology syllabi of classes 11 and 12 to more closely align with other state boards' classes 11 and 12 syllabi. The syllabus consisted of 97 chapters which was reduced to 79 chapters.
Therefore, the topics expected to be removed from the NEET physics syllabus are Elementary concepts of differentiation and integration for describing motion, momentum conservation, the centre of mass of uniform rods, Heat engines and refrigerators etc. Similarly, The topics expected to be excluded from the NEET chemistry syllabus 2025 are Atomic numbers, isotopes & isobars etc. Further, the expected topics to be deleted from the biology syllabus of NEET 2025 are seed dormancy, vernalisation, photoperiodism, tobacco abuse, improvement in food production etc. In this article, know in detail about the deleted syllabus of NEET 2025 topics, the revised syllabus, NEET 2025 preparation tips and more.
Expected Changes in NEET Syllabus 2025
The NTA authorities have not yet announced any changes in the NEET syllabus 2025. As there is no notification regarding the NEET 2025 syllabus so there are changes expected to occur in the NEET Syllabus. The NTA authorities may make the following changes in the NEET syllabus 2025:
- The NTA authorities may remove some chapters or topics from the set of 79 chapters in the NEET UG syllabus.
- The NTA could only include topics that will be relevant to the other state boards' class 11 and 12 chapters in physics, chemistry and biology subjects.
- The NTA authorities may make changes to help students sync with modern medical education and technology. They could do so to focus more on conceptual learning and engaging students with real-life medical scenarios.
- The NTA authorities may remove the unnecessary chapters from the NEET syllabus allowing students to focus on the key topics and understand concepts better.
- The NTA authorities could likely remove topics from the chapters subject-wise to align more with the NCERT curriculum. They may do so to maintain consistency between the school curriculum and the entrance exam syllabus.
- The exam conducting body may make changes in the syllabus to test students' ability to use their problem-solving skills along with theoretical knowledge in practical scenarios.
Revised NEET UG Syllabus 2025
Previously, The NTA authorities in collaboration with NMC revised the syllabus to sync with other state boards and NCERT class 11 and 12 topics. The revised syllabus focused only on topics that would help students gain knowledge in depth along with practical implementation of the concepts. The revised syllabus consisted of only topics that were relevant to the class 11 and 12 physics, chemistry and biology curriculum of every state board. In the revised syllabus, there were nine chapters from chemistry, and six chapters from biology while some topics were added. On the other hand, there were 12 topics removed from the physics syllabus while some were added. Therefore, it is suspected that the NTA may be more specific with the NEET 2025 topics. They could do so to align with the other state boards' higher secondary PCB stream curriculum and NCERT class 11 and 12 syllabus.
