List of IIT Colleges in India: The Indian Institutes of Technology, popularly known as IITs are the most prestigious and top engineering institutes in the country. They are the autonomous institutes for higher education in the technical field and are most popular for the BTech courses that IITs offer. At present, there are 23 IITs in India that are governed by the Institute of Technology Act, 1961 - a common IT council. Candidates can check the list of IIT Colleges in India in this article.
Getting through an IIT is not a cakewalk as the IIT admission process is highly competitive. Every year, thousands of candidates apply for the limited seats but only the best out of the lot get to live their dream of being a part of such prestigious institutions. For admission into the IITs, candidates have to appear in the IIT entrance exam in two levels- JEE Main and JEE Advanced. It is mandatory to qualify in both the exams to compete for seats and specialisation preferences which are conducted by the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA).
On September 29, 2015, the Honourable Minister of Human Resource Development launched the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF), which was approved by the MHRD. This framework describes a way of ranking institutions across India. One of the best ways to select IIT in India is by comparing its NIRF ranking. The NIRF Rankings is released yearly in April and May. For the 2022 cycle, the NIRF ranking is not released, but will be published soon. The MHRD-NIRF ranking is based on five characteristics, which are as follows:
A total of 23 IITs in the country offer a variety of courses ranging from the BTech level to the Doctoral programmes. While admission to BTech courses is based on JEE exam, admission to the Master of Technology (MTech) programmes is on the basis of the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) exam. You can find below the list of IIT colleges in India along with their ranking as per the Education Ministry'sNational Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) that are released every year in the month of April. The NIRF rankings for the 2022 academic year are not yet released. But, to get a fair idea about the IIT rankings you can check the previous year rankings.
Master of Business Administration (MBA) is a popular course in India. It is offered in over 6,500 colleges across the country. Common Admission Test (CAT), which is one of the most popular MBA entrance exams in India, sees over 2 lakh aspirants every year. And there are many more who have aspirations to join MBA courses through many other exams that are conducted for MBA admissions in India.
While the high number of MBA colleges in India do offer variety, not all maintain the same quality of teaching, campus facilities, and placements. In these and many other factors, some colleges emerge better than others and simply offer a higher quality of education and related services. It is evident in the fact that the alumni of top Indian MBA colleges can be found in leadership roles across the world.
Why You Should Care About Top MBA Colleges
While going for an MBA course, experts advise that students should always try for a reputed b-school. This is because experts understand that the reputation of your college carries weight when you are looking for career opportunities after MBA. Thankfully, NIRF has made this task easier for all students. Students now can refer to the NIRF ranking of top colleges and universities as a trustworthy source to make their choice.
In this article, we have also covered the top private and government MBA colleges in India. These are the colleges that have made a name for themselves in the management education sector through their dedication to quality education. One important point to note before we go on, it is not always the NIRF rank that will matter. Factors such as location, availability of courses, and fees will also influence your decision. Weight in every point and then apply.
Top 10 Govt MBA Colleges in India 2022
If we see the past trends, the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) have always been crowned on the list of top MBA colleges in India with IIM Ahmedabad leading the pack. The trend has continued in NIRF 2021 rankings and government colleges including IIMs still occupy the top spots in NIRF rankings.
One major shift, however, that was seen this year was more Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) climbing the ranks of top MBA colleges. The BTech + MBA combination does work, apparently. Jokes apart, here are the top 10 government b-schools in India.

This is the right time to come up with a brilliant study plan to crack JEE Main and score well in class 12 board exams because let’s face it, your score in class 12 board plays a valuable academic role in your career, be it admission in grad school or getting a job.
Preparation Strategy for JEE Main 2022
Make Weekly Subject Targets:
Devote equal time to every subject during the week. Since JEE Main is all about concepts, make sure that you do a thorough revision of whichever topic you pick up. For example: if you are planning to revise the concepts of differentiation, practice both board-level questions of the topic as well as questions that are asked at JEE Mains level.
Now that you have ample time left for your board exams, allocate days for the preparation of every exam. For example: schedule three days for board exam preparation and save the remaining four days for JEE Mains preparation.
Divide the syllabus of your subjects according to these three months. This way you can make sure that you haven’t missed out any topic from either of your subjects.
Prepare your Monthly Schedule:
Smart preparation is very important when the time is less, therefore, analyse your strengths and weaknesses and work on them proportionately. For example: if you are good in algebra and need to work on your calculus then devote more time to calculus.
As your Board exams will start way before the entrance test, make sure that you are able to devote enough time for the preparation of JEE Mains in December and January so that you have enough time to prepare for your Class 12 board exams.
With roughly three months left for JEE Mains 2022, make sure that you give at least 15 mock tests in this period of time.
Devote each Sunday for the mock test, score analysis and performance analysis. This will help you to be more familiar with the exam.
If you want to evaluate your performance at the all-India level, you can register for JEE Main 2022 mock test and other various coaching centres. This will help you scale your performance and get a better estimate of where you stand.
Incorporate Class 11th Syllabus in your Preparation:
As JEE Main 2022 syllabus comprises both class 11 and class 12 syllabus, it is essential to revise the topics that you have covered in class 11.
Start revising topics that you were good at as they will take less time and will allow you to prepare for board exams as well.
Devote at least two days of your week to prepare for topics that you studied in class 11. This way you will be able to cover the syllabus for both JEE Main and Class 12 Board exams.

AP POLYCET 2022: As the exam is less than a week away, scheduled for May 29, it is time for the students to focus only on revisions. But carrying out revisions of the whole syllabus is as troublesome as it sounds. Moreover, some topics in the syllabus have very less to no weightage in AP POLYCET Exam as observed from the previous years’ question papers.
Based on it, we have provided below AP POLYCET Important Topics 2022, along with some last-minute important tips, to help students better their preparation. Continue reading for further information.
AP POLYCET 2022 Last-Minute Preparation Tips
Some of the useful tips have been provided below to help the candidates prepare for their upcoming examination. It shall however be noted that not all tips suit all students. Adapt what is best for you and proceed to improve your preparation and ultimately, your score.
Given this, candidates shall first focus on mathematics, then physics, and then chemistry. However, it does not mean that all topics of mathematics take preference. First cover the important topics from maths, followed by important topics from physics and chemistry respectively. Once it is done, then shift over to less important topics in the same order.
2. Revise, not Learn
With only a few days left, it would be useless to try and learn a topic now. If a topic is left, it is better to leave it behind. Learning one topic may take away the scarce revision time for three. So it is better to only revise and not begin learning at this stage.
3. Start with easy topics
For each subject, first pick up the topics which have a significant weightage and are easy for you. It will quicken the pace of your revision (as easy topics must not be left behind in revision) and it will also give you a much-needed confidence boost. Quickly finish these easy topics and then move to the more challenging topics.
4. Use Textbooks
Using AP Board textbooks is advisable for the preparation of AP POLYCET 2022. The question paper for the exam is based on the textbooks only.
5. Solve Previous Years’ Papers
Solving AP POLYCET Previous Years Papers will not only boost your knowledge about the kind of questions that come, it will also boost your speed. Try solving the papers within the stipulated time and the questions/topics which you feel are difficult can be worked on later.
6. Mark one-by-one
During the exam time, what many students tend to do is to try and solve the question paper completely in one go but for the last 10-15 minutes of the duration in which they intend to encircle all the questions on the OMR sheet. This approach is detrimental because if a candidate fails to darken all the answers within the time limit, even solving the complete question paper is as good as useless. Instead, directly darken the answers to the questions you are sure about, and those you are a bit unsure about can be left for later.
