Candidates must possess a B.Tech/ B.E. in Instrumentation Engineering from a recognized institute alongwith acquiring an overall aggregate of 65% (55% for SC/ ST/ PWD/ Women) in the qualifying degree exam. In most Indian states, just having a BTech degree is not enough to appear for TET or DSC. You usually need a proper teaching course like B.Ed or D.El.Ed along with it.

This isn’t about how “big” or “small” your degree is. It’s about teacher training. A BTech gives you technical knowledge, but it does not train you to teach students in a classroom.
