The GATE 2025 PH qualifying cutoff marks for General, OBC/EWS, and SC/ST are 26.8, 24.1, and 17.8. The official GATE Physics qualifying marks were announced with GATE 2025 results. A total of 19,225 students appeared in the GATE 2025 exam.

GATE 2025 PH Qualifying Cutoff Marks: IIT Roorkee has released the GATE 2025 PH cutoff score on the official exam website. The Physics cutoff for GATE 2025 is 26.8, 24.1, and 17.8 for the General, OBC/EWS, and SC/ST/PwD categories. The GATE 2025 Physics qualifying cutoff is the minimum mark that you must score to pass the GATE 2025 exam . The GATE 2025 cutoff varies category-wise, and it is determined based on the total number of exam takers, difficulty level of the paper, seat availability in the GATE 2025 participating colleges , and previous cutoff trends. This year, a total of 24,747 students registered for the GATE 2025 PH exam, and 19,225 appeared on the exam day. GATE 2025 PH General Category Qualifying Marks

The GATE Physics qualifying cutoff in the previous year was 32. Looking at the past year's trends, it can be concluded that the highest cutoff for a GATE Physics paper was in 2021 at 32.80. And, the lowest cutoff in the last 4 years was in 2022 at 26.5. The GATE PH qualifying cutoff has been increased from the GATE 2023 to the GATE 2024 exam cycle.

The GATE qualifying cutoff marks for SC/ST students have been the lowest compared to the General and OBC/EWS categories. The GATE PH 2025 qualifying cutoff marks for SC/ST will be uploaded to the GATE 2025 website. Analyzing the last 4 years' cutoff, the lowest cutoff for SC/ST students was in 2022 at 17.6. In the last two years, the GATE PH cutoff has increased and was 20.7 in 2023 and 21.3 in 2024. The GATE Physics qualifying cutoff mark in the previous year was 28.3 for the EWS/OBC category. In the 2023 academic year, the GATE PH cutoff for EWS/OBC was 27.9. In the GATE 2022 examination, the authorities set the cutoff at 23.8. Similar to the General category, the qualifying cutoff marks for the EWS/OBC categories have increased in the last 2 years.

In most Indian states, just having a BTech degree is not enough to appear for TET or DSC. You usually need a proper teaching course like B.Ed or D.El.Ed along with it.

This isn’t about how “big” or “small” your degree is. It’s about teacher training. A BTech gives you technical knowledge, but it does not train you to teach students in a classroom. That’s why, even if BTech is a higher degree, it is not considered a teaching qualification. States want teachers who are trained specifically for teaching, which is why they insist on B.Ed or D.El.Ed.
