Instructions to Upload Signature in GATE Application Form 2025: GATE registration 2025 with late fees has been completed on October 11, 2024. The GATE 2025 application form correction window has been extended to November 22, 2024, for PwD students. During the GATE registration 2025, candidates have to upload important documents that include their signatures. The signature must be uploaded as per the guidelines and specifications shared by IIT Roorkee or the application will be rejected. As per the GATE 2025 signature guidelines, candidates must upload an image of their signature in JPEG/JPG format with an aspect ratio (height: width) of 1: R, where R ranges from 2.75 to 3.75. The file size of the GATE 2025 signature must be at least 3 KB and not more than 1 MB. Candidates must provide their own signatures only and not of their parents or any other person. During the GATE 2025 registration process, it is mandatory for all candidates to upload their signatures. The specifications of the signatures must be as per the guidelines. The candidate's signature in the exam hall must match the one submitted. If not, they could be disqualified. 1. Dimensions of the Signature

Applicants must upload their signature in the GATE 2025 application form as per the aspect ratio (height: width) of 1: R, where R ranges from 2.75 to 3.75. After cropping to the specified size, the signature should occupy 70-80% of the image. They should take the signature on plain paper, not coloured paper. The signature should be in JPEG or JPG format only.

2. Colour of Signature

During the GATE 2025 documents uploading, the colour of the signature also matters. The candidate's signature must be in black or dark blue ink. Therefore, applicants are strictly restristred from taking their signature in other colour, glitter or marker pens.

3. Signature Size

The file size of the signature while uploading during the GATE registration must be at least 3 KB and not exceed 1 MB. Candidates can use various online tools to decrease the size of the singular. However, they must make sure that it is as per the expected dimensions and pixels.

4. Signature Resolution and Pixels

IIT Roorkee has given guidelines regarding GATE 2025 signature pixels and resolutions.  The highest resolution of the signature should be 580 × 180 pixels, while the minimum resolution should be 250 × 80 pixels.

5. Signature Type

The authorities will not accept all bold-type signatures. If the candidate's signature proceeds outside the rectangle, it will not be accepted. The signature should not be very light, invisible, or hazy. Appliants must use proper ink so that the signature is visible properly. A very small signature will not be considered. Candidates have to do a proper signature not just write their name in bold letters. The signature for the GATE application form 2025 can be in Hindi or English.

How to Set a Signature for the GATE 2025 Exam?

To get a signature for the GATE 2025 exam, candidates should draw a box measuring 2 cm x 7 cm on A4 paper. The signature should fit in the box. It should be in the candidate's own handwriting. It should not be in all capital characters or spelled out. Furthermore, the signature should include the applicant's whole name, not just initials.
