Entrance Exams Accepted by Madhya Pradesh MBA Colleges

MBA Admissions in Madhya Pradesh are based on the Common Management Admission Test (CMAT). MP will follow a CMAT-based counselling process for its MBA colleges. However, MBA colleges in Madhya Pradesh can accept the score of other national-level MBA entrance exams as well.

IIM Indore accepts only the CAT score for MBA admission but other colleges may accept scores of one or more of the following entrance exams. The following is the list of entrance exams applicable to MBA admission in Madhya Pradesh.

Madhya Pradesh MBA Eligibility Criteria 2023

Basic Requirements: In order to get MBA admission in Madhya Pradesh, the applicants must have completed higher secondary education and graduation. They must have at least 50% marks in their bachelor’s or undergraduate (UG) degree. Candidates with a bachelor’s degree in any discipline are eligible to apply for MBA admission in Madhya Pradesh. A relaxation in marks will be given to the candidates who belong to the SC, ST, or other reserved categories.

Entrance Exam: To get an MBA admission in Madhya Pradesh, the applicants must have a valid MAT/ CMAT/ CAT score. The candidates must score qualifying marks in any of these MBA entrance exams to be considered for admission to any management college in the state of Madhya Pradesh.

Domicile Rules: Madhya Pradesh state domicile rules apply only to the residents of Madhya Pradesh. MP-domiciled candidates can get admission under the state-level counselling organized by the State Government for admission to State Quota seats in Government and Private MBA colleges of Madhya Pradesh. The domicile rules do not apply for management quota MBA admissions in Madhya Pradesh.

Madhya Pradesh MBA Selection Process 2023

MP MBA 2023 Selection Process: MBA Admissions in Madhya Pradesh will begin after the common merit list of CMAT 2023 will be announced by NTA. Admission to MP MBA colleges will be done via the MO Counselling process on the basis of this common merit list of CMAT 2023. The final merit list and admission results will be announced only after the Group Discussion and Personal Interview rounds have been conducted as per the Counselling Process of MP MBA Admissions.

The assessment of candidates will be based on their performance in the entrance test, GD and PI. Candidates whose names appear in the CMAT 2023 merit list must take part in the MP MBA counselling process. During the CET counselling process, the candidates must exercise web options. The admission authority will allocate the seats accordingly.

Selection Process based on Other Entrance Exams: Candidates with a valid MAT/ CAT score must apply to private MBA colleges that accept these scores individually. Almost all the institutes conduct GD and PI for offering admission.

Direct MBA Admission/ Management Quota Admission: Candidates can apply for direct admission in MBA through the management quota of the MBA college if they do not have a valid CMAT / CAT / MAT score. However, direct admission is not possible at IIM Indore.

Madhya Pradesh MBA Admission Reservation Policy 2023

The Professional Entrance Examination Board of Madhya Pradesh follows reservation policies of the state government strictly for MBA admissions under state quota or domicile quota. For management quota admissions in private MBA colleges, reservation policies of the state government do not apply.
