The candidate must have scored not less than 50 per cent marks in aggregate in graduation.

The entrance examination that the top universities accept is the Common Entrance Examination for Design (CEED). CEED is a joint entrance examination for studies at the postgraduate level. Some institutes also conduct a college-level entrance exam such as the NIFT Entrance Exam, SOFT CET etc.
Candidates who have completed a Bachelor's degree are eligible to take the test. - On the completion of form fill up, they should appear in the entrance exam
- Once the result is released, candidates are called for the personal interview rounds which is basically a personality test conducted by the universities/colleges where the candidates want to enroll in
- Based on the performance of the entrance exam and personal interview sessions, candidates are selected and called for the next rounds of admission
