TNEA Round 2 Seat Allotment 2025: Release Date, Provisional List, Dates, Fees

TNEA Round 2 Seat Allotment 2025: The Directorate of Technical Education released the TNEA seat allotment results in online mode on the official website tneaonline.org. TNEA counseling process has commenced on the official website from May 7, 2025, and the last date to register for the TNEA counseling is June 09, 2025. The TNEA 2025 rank list will be published on June 27, 2025. TNEA seat allotment results are published after each round of the TNEA counselling. Candidates can check their seat allotment results for different rounds on the official website by using their login credentials.

The TNEA counselling is conducted in 3 rounds, and each round will have 4 stages (choice filling, allotment, confirmation of allotment, and reporting to the college/TFC and payment of fees depending on their confirmation). After the seat allotment, the candidates will have various confirmation options like accept & join, accept and upward, decline and upward, decline and move to next round, decline and quit, and upward or move to next round. TNEA  2025 Round 2 Seat Acceptance Process

After candidates have been allotted seats through TNEA Counselling 2025 , they are provided with the facility to practice different confirmation options. There are 6 options available for the candidates which have been elaborated below:

Step 1: Accept and Join

Candidates who are content with the seats allotted to them are required to download the provisional seat allotment order and further report to the allotted institute as per the specified date for admission. Candidates will lose the seats allotted to them in case they fail to report to the allotted college on the specified date and they will be disqualified from participating in the subsequent seat allotment rounds.

Step 2: Accept and Upward

Candidates who are satisfied with the seats allotted to them but wish to pursue allotment in the higher order of his/her choice can select this option. For example, if a candidate is provided with a seat for choice 5, she/ he can choose to wait for choice 1,2,3,4. In case no better choice is provided in an upward movement, then the previously allotted choice 5 will remain confirmed for the candidate.

Step 3: Decline and Upward

In case candidates are not satisfied with their allotted seats, they can decline the allotted seat and wait for allotment in the higher order of her/ his choice in the ensuing upward movement. In case such candidates fail to secure her/ his preferred allotment in an upward movement, then they will be moved to the subsequent round.

Step 4: Decline and move to the next round

If candidates are not satisfied with their allotted seats and they do not wish to wait for upward movement, then they can move and participate in the subsequent round.

Step 5: Decline and Quit

Candidates who are not satisfied with the seats allotted to them and do not wish to take part in the subsequent seat allotment rounds can choose this option.

Step 6: Upward or move to the next round

If ‘no seat’ is allotted to the candidates on the basis of all the choices, then candidates will be provided with this option. Such candidates can opt for upward movement. If any seat is available during upward movement, it will be allotted to the candidate. If no seats are available during upward movement, then such candidates will be moved to the next round.
